Outriders from People Can Fly has been riding high on the success of its demo, which has been downloaded millions of times and has been generally well-received by fans. Outriders fans on Xbox will be happy to know that they will get access to the full game with their Xbox Game Pass subscription on the same day it comes out on Thursday, April 1.

Xbox previously teased Outriders for Game Pass with a cryptic message on Twitter. Now it's been confirmed that Outriders will be available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers on the same day it comes out, April 1, though there is a catch that fans should be aware of. While Outriders will be available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers starting April 1 on Xbox consoles and Android mobile devices through Xbox Cloud Gaming, it seems those on PC will be missing out for now.

No reason was given to as to why Outriders is skipping Game Pass on PC, but it's quite possible that there are other deals in place in regards to the game's PC release. It's also unclear exactly how long Outriders will be on Xbox Game Pass, so anyone interested in playing through the game without paying full price should definitely make it a point to check it out come April 1.

Outriders, for the uninitiated, is a 3-player co-op RPG shooter that plays like a live service looter shooter without the actual live service elements. Outriders is meant to be a complete experience right when it launches on April 1, with players not having to wait for post-launch updates or season passes to get access to new content. However, if Outriders is successful, then People Can Fly has expressed interest in releasing some post-launch content for the game. Its availability on Xbox Game Pass should mean that a lot more people have access to it at launch, so chances seem good that post-launch content will be on the way in some capacity.

As previously mentioned, fans have been mostly positive about the Outriders demo, and the developers are looking to take that feedback into account with the final game. Whether or not the full Outriders experience holds up remains to be seen, but fans will find out sooner rather than later.

Anyone that wants to try Outriders early should note that they can play the demo and make progress toward the full game. Unlike most demos and betas, Outriders demo progress carries over to the final product, so players can figure out what class they like to play and get a head-start for when the game itself launches on April 1.

Outriders launches April 1 for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
