Original Stitch has been no stranger to the world of anime and Japanese pop-culture influenced merchandise, and it has recently been continuing to expand its collaboration with the legendary shonen series One Piece. As excitement grows for both the North American premiere of One Piece Film Red and some major events with the long-running manga series, the high-end virtual storefront has released its first batch of 13 all-new patterns to customize its products with.

Given the surge of its popularity from the upcoming Film Red, the manga’s major escalation, its evergreen status on Toonami and more, it’s safe to say that One Piece is having something of a moment. According to a statement from an executive at Original Stitch, “As everyone gears up for the U.S. launch of the new film, we are excited to offer the ONE PIECE community new ways to celebrate.” The first 13 patterns of the new release are available immediately, and a second batch of 13 additional patterns are set to go live on Wednesday, October 5 2022.

These new fabrics in the Original Stitch collaboration are modeled after the Seven Warlords of the Sea story arc of the manga and anime. For the full list of the 9/28 releases, Original Stitch is dropping patterns based off of Franky, Crocodile, Doflamingo, Boa Hancock, Jinbe, Bartholomew Kuma (also featuring two designs), Gecko, and Brook. For Doflamingo, Boa, Jinbe, and Kuma, two different designs based off of the characters’ different styles are open as well.

Next week’s release will include additional designs for Franky, Brooke, and Jinbe, as well as designs for Trafalgar, Sanji, Blackbeard, Marshall, and the Seven Warlords in general. In addition to all of these inspired designs, the customization options for the shirts will include six new One Piece-inspired designs for shirt buttons.

As with all of Original Stitch’s designs, the new One Piece set is inspired by a more high-end feel that goes beyond what is typically associated with fandom merch and clothing. The shirts can be a bit on the more expensive side, starting at around $100 USD and varying depending on the level of customization put into them. That said, they are incredibly high quality and made regarding the specific customizations for design, color, and fabric made during the order (the ordering process tends to be an active process that’s part of the experience).

In addition to the main shirts, the new designs will be featured alongside Original Stitch’s wider repertoire of pants, pillowcases, masks, and Bandanas. The company currently ships to Japan, USA, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, India, Indonesia, the United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, Italy, France, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
