In just under 10 months, the highly-anticipated Mortal Kombat movie reboot will finally arrive, and it is sure to be filled with plenty of crazy costumes, epic battles, and ultra-violence. While waiting for the release of this new Mortal Kombat movie, some fans may be interested in revisiting the original live-action film from 1995, and it is just about to become easier than ever to do exactly that.

More specifically, the original Mortal Kombat movie will be available to stream though Netflix beginning on April 1, 2020. This information was recently confirmed with the release of a full list of titles that will be coming to Netflix in April, and other notable action movies on that list include the legendary Matrix trilogy and the Jean-Claude Van Damme vehicle Bloodsport.

While critical response to the film was not particularly positive at the time of its release, and it currently sits at 43% on Rotten Tomatoes, the Mortal Kombat movie has become something of a cult classic. As such, some fans will certainly be happy to have easy access to the tile through Netflix streaming.

This animated film will focus on Quan Chi and the origin of the iconic yellow ninja Scorpion, and it will be available both digitally and on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-Ray.

With the current recommendations against gathering in groups, which come as a result of the coronavirus, many individuals are looking for entertainment that can be enjoyed alone. Certainly, it seems that there is no shortage of this kind of entertainment coming imminently for Mortal Kombat fans, and indeed there is even more, in the aforementioned MK movie reboot, on the not-too-distant horizon.
