Now that the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S have finally launched, a lot of highly-anticipated new games are starting to give gamers an idea of what the next console generation has to offer. But along with those games, several current-gen titles like Forza Horizon 4 have been upgraded to take advantage of the Series X's technology, and that includes Ori and the Will of the Wisps.

As promised earlier this year, developer Moon Studios has dropped an update this past week that brings next-gen improvements to Ori and the Will of the Wisps on the Xbox Series X, allowing players to enjoy the critically-acclaimed platformer like never before. In addition to general improvements like reduced load times and instant input response, the game now runs at 120 FPS in full 4K HDR on the Series X, while the Series S is able to maintain the same framerate at 1080p HDR.

There are even more next-gen options for players with the monitors for it. On the Series X version, players have access to a 6K Supersampled mode that offers 60 FPS and outputs in 4K HDR, and the Series S version offers a secondary 4K/60 FPS option for players who would rather enhance Ori and the Will of the Wisps’ stunning visuals than have an ultra-smooth framerate.

This is on top of all of the other features Moon Studios added in the recent update, which include various enhancements for the PC and Xbox One versions of Ori and the Will of the Wisps. Furthermore, Moon has patched out a number of bugs, including a notable bug that caused players to fall out of the world due to issues with how the game loaded new areas.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps is available for PC, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
