Open Discussion – July 25 2012

By | 4 years ago

Taking a page from our Screen Rant brethren, we here at Game Rant would like to give the weekly Open Discussion post a try. The intent of the post is for you, the Game Rant community more commonly referred to as Ranters, to interact with us, the writers, and each other.

Feel free to discuss any and everything in relation to video games you like, from what games you’ve been playing to the recent developments in the video game news world. Obviously the news posts themselves are the ideal place to discuss those specific news items — like the recent revelation regarding Desmond’s journey concluding in Assassin’s Creed 3 — but maybe there are some items we missed that you’d like discuss. Here would also be the place for that.

It goes without saying that all topics are fair game, and will help inform us as to what titles our community is interested in talking about. Skyrim, for example, which just began an beta for its most recent update, is always a hot topic, and will continue to be for quite some time. So talk about the most recent dragon you slew, or how you’re liking the new Dawnguard expansion.

And of course there are the games we are looking forward to playing in the coming days. Among the titles releasing in the coming week include Wreckateer, the new Kinect-controlled castle destruction title (also the second title released under the Summer of Arcade banner) and Prototype 2‘s PC release. Don’t feel bound by recent titles, however, feel free to discuss any of the games you might be playing. For example, I’m working my way through Castlevania: Lords of Shadow because the trailer for its sequel really piqued my interest and I never really gave the first one a chance.

Also, respect should be paid towards every commenter, and that no disparaging remarks will be tolerated. This is a place for gamers to get together and discuss the things they love, so have at it.

And if you do want to talk about Movies or TV, head on over to Screen Rant’s Open Discussion post.
