Cara Delevingne is joining what was already a star-studded cast on the Hulu original program, Only Murders in the Building. The British actor is joining the show as a series regular in Season 2 and will be appearing returning stars Selena Gomez, Steve Martin, and Martin Short.

Only Murders in the Building debuted on Hulu earlier this year and was almost immediately a fan favorite. The show centered on Gomez's Mabel Mora, Martin's Charles Haden-Savage and Short's Oliver Putnam who started the series as loners who all lived in a fancy high rise in the middle of New York City. The trio comes together when the building has to be evacuated and they all end up taking refuge in the same restaurant where they learn they're listeners of the same crime podcast. Eventually, the three new friends decide to make their own podcast, named Only Murders in the Building that centers on a murder they discover in their apartment building.

According to Collider, Delevingne joins the trio in Season 2 of the Hulu show as Alice, who is a refined art world insider that becomes embroiled in the mystery at the center of the program. Beyond that, not a great deal is known about the character yet, but it seems like it is a safe bet she'll have something to hide while also helping the trio work on the mystery.

That was certainly the case in the first season of the show when it came to Selena Gomez's Mabel character. In fact, she had a number of different reasons as to why she was living in the building and what she knew about the death that she and her two friends started investigating. The entanglements could be similar when it comes to Delevingne's Alice.

Like Selena Gomez, the new addition to the cast got her start in an entertainment industry outside of acting. Cara Delevingne began as a fashion model back in 2002 and appeared in several big-time fashion shows such as New York Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week.

Delevingne officially made the jump to acting in 2012 and she's appeared in another of different shows and movies since then. The actor has appeared in movies and TV shows from all sorts of different genres including science-fiction Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets and the DCEU as part of 2016's Suicide Squad. She's also the lead in Amazon's Carnival Row, which was supposed to start shooting Season 2 last year, but that was delayed thanks to the pandemic.

Only Murders in the Building Season 2 is set to launch on Hulu sometime in 2022.
