It's not unusual to see artists recreate other series in their own style. Santa Monica Studio's Art Director Raf Grassetti has taken on Batman, Sonic the Hedgehog, and more on social media, and fans of this kind of crossover might be interested in seeing Japanese manga artist Yusuke Murata take on Capcom's Mega Man.

Murata has worked on a number of series including the American football-centric Eyeshield 21, but is likely best known today for the superhero shonen series One-Punch Man. That has drawn fans to make connections with One-Punch's cyborg deuteragonist Genos after Murata posted his Mega Man art to Twitter Thursday.

One-Punch Man has exploded in popularity in recent years after going from a webcomic to a manga and then an anime with a unique blend of action and satirical takes on the genre it embodies. Recently it was announced that a live-action film adaptation of One-Punch Man is being developed from the writers of 2018's Venom.

The popular manga's style definitely lends itself well to the simple, futuristic style of Capcom's super fighting robot. Mega Man's popularity flourishes to this day, and the classic series was recently referenced in the Resident Evil 3 Remake.
