One Piece's Wano Country arc is, quite easily, one of the biggest wars in the story so far, if not the biggest. With Luffy rising in power quickly in the New World after his two-year training, it was only a matter of time before he challenged the likes of the Four Emperors to cement his legacy for good and become one of the strongest on the seas. Shortly after arriving at Punk Hazard, the Straw Hats' plans to take down Kaido began and with time, they've only gotten more complicated.

Thanks to Whole Cake Island, it became quite clear that Big Mom would be involved in all the chaos that was about to ensue, and she did just that by following Luffy to Wano Country. While things have been going great for Luffy, there's a particular Straw Hat for whom two of the Four Emperors together spells quite a lot of trouble; Nico Robin.

The Inevitable Danger To Nico Robin in Wano

Back in One Piece's Zou arc, Nekomamushi made it quite clear that Nico Robin's ability to read the Poneglyphs is extremely special and that it's highly coveted in the entire world. After all, she is the only key to the One Piece and is even known as the "Light of the Revolution." Although not many attempts to capture her have been made so far, the closer Luffy gets to the One Piece, the more trouble he will attract, meaning the likes of Kaido, Big Mom, and potentially even Blackbeard might set their eyes on her. Robin responded by saying that it's fine if she's targeted because she has strong friends to protect her, clearly referencing how the Straw Hat Pirates risked all their lives and stormed Enies Lobby to rescue her from the clutches of the World Government two years ago.

In Wano, however, the situation around Nico Robin looks quite tense. As expected, both Kaido and Big Mom want her at the end of the war, and they're quite confident that they will eventually triumph over the new generation and get their hands on her. For Kaido, there doesn't seem to be a way to get to the One Piece at all. He has nobody with the Voice of All Things in his crew and for him, the only way to get to the One Piece is to get Nico Robin, which is exactly why he ordered Black Maria to capture Robin. As for Big Mom, while she does have Pudding on her crew who can read the Poneglyphs by using her three-eyed tribe's power if it awakens, the Yonko doesn't have the patience to just sit back and watch. She, too, wants Nico Robin to herself and even asks Kaido to not kill her specifically.

If two problems weren't enough, the threat of the CP0 exists as well, who also appear to be on Robin's trail. Recently, Rob Lucci made it quite clear to the members of the CP0 in Wano that their orders are to seize the land of Wano in case Kaido falls, and more importantly, to capture Nico Robin. Currently, two CP0 members are already on Robin's back, with Brook doing the very best he can to keep her safe.

It's safe to say that Robin simply cannot afford to be captured here by the Four Emperors because that would imply Luffy and the Worst Generation lose their respective battles. If that does indeed happen, then Luffy's dreams of becoming the Pirate King are essentially over. When the battle atop the rooftop of Onigashima began, Kaido made it quite clear that the winner takes it all and gets that much closer to the One Piece.

The stakes in this battle are massive, meaning lose, and everything is over. Thankfully, things don't look to be going too well for the Four Emperors. Big Mom likely can't get her hands on Robin since she doesn't have anyone active on the island anymore and is currently engaged in a difficult fight against Law and Kid. In fact, she is down, as seen in last week's incredible chapter. Meanwhile, Kaido ordered Black Maria to capture Nico Robin and she was already defeated by Robin herself.

Despite Sanji asking Robin to come straight to Black Maria, he had full confidence in her ability to win and Robin repaid that faith by winning over the Tobiroppo. Kaido himself is engaging Luffy in a massive fight on the rooftop and it is safe to say that Luffy is doing fairly well against him. If Kaido does win, he gets his hands on Nico Robin but if he loses, which is the likelier outcome since everyone else on his side has already lost, he won't be a threat anymore.

The biggest threat that Robin faces are the CP0. They're already following Robin and look as if they'll stop at nothing. After already defeating one Number and X Drake, they are now being stalled by Izo of the Akazaya Nine. If CP0 gets their hands on Robin, perhaps fans could get to see another rescue arc but this time, the Straw Hat Pirates hit Mariejois instead. While that certainly is a big possibility, it likely won't come to fruition. With Zunesha, the World Government's forces are likely going to be dealt with quite soon, meaning the CP0 forces won't have any backup.

At the same time, Izo is stalling them and Marco the Phoenix is just around the corner as well. The CP0, while strong, will likely either lose in Wano, or be forced to make an escape. After all, Wano can't end on a sad note for the Straw Hats or the samurai, who have waited 20 years for this day. Furthermore, there are quite a few Poneglyphs that need to be studied after the arc and that plot point loses its purpose if Robin is captured. For now, fans can rest assured that Robin is safe.
