The Straw Hat Pirates are known to be the one of the strongest pirate crews in the One Piece world. Led by the Fifth Emperor of the Sea, Monkey D. Luffy, this crew is home to some of the strongest characters in the story, all of which have made a name for themselves in the ongoing story of One Piece.

Currently, the crew is engaging Yonko Kaido and Big Mom on Onigashima, which just goes to show how incredible they truly are. While all the members of the Straw Hat Pirates are quite capable, not everyone possesses the same level of strength. Here's how they stack up against each other.

Updated on March 10, 2024, by Rei Penber: The Straw Hat Pirates are an incredibly powerful bunch that fans have seen go from strength to strength over the years. This pirate group had very humble beginnings, however, now, they are an Emperor Crew in the New World, largely in contention for being the mightiest pirate crew there is. Of course, the Straw Hat Pirates have many powerful members whose strength has varied greatly over the years, and while this list already goes over their strength over the course of the past arcs, the Egghead Island Arc has only added more strength feats to these incredible Pirates. As such, they have now been added to this list, and with that, it has been updated.

10 Usopp, The Sniper

Usopp is the sniper of the Straw Hat crew, who joined Luffy on his journey during the Syrup Village arc. Usopp is known to be a coward at times, and by his own admission, he often can't keep up with the rest of the crew. Like Nami, he relies on clever tricks in battle. On occasions, Usopp can be the bravest person on the crew but he often lacks the skill required to back that bravery up.

On Wano, Usopp struggled heavily to fight and even hurt Page One, despite being a skilled sniper and a user of Observation Haki. It just goes to show that he is among the weakest — however, among the Straw Hats, even the weakest are skilled fighters.

What Usopp Did In The Wano Country Arc

In the Wano Country arc, Usopp didn't receive much of a power-up. He attempted to fight Ulti and Page One but was, sadly, not powerful enough to take down either of them. Some of his attacks against them were effective but most didn't cause them any trouble.

Usopp remains to be the weakest member of the Straw Hat Pirates. In Wano, the vast majority of the members of the Straw Hat crew received good power-ups. However, Usopp was one of the members who did not receive any power-up and thus is lagging behind. While he might catch up in the story later on, currently, he remains to be the weakest member of the crew by far.

Wano was quite disappointing for him. However, that certainly doesn't mean that will be the weakest forever. Fans know that the story is now heading towards Elbaf and, as such, shine for Usopp is almost guaranteed there. He currently has a bounty of 500 million Berries.

Usopp is still one of the weakest members of the Straw Hat Pirates. He has not done much on Egghead Island at all and has been largely quiet so far. In fact, he has only found himself in danger on several occasions. His showing on Wano was disappointing as well and it appears that he will not get any major moments on Egghead Island either.

9 Brook, The Musician

Also known as Soul King, Brook is the musician of the Straw Hat Pirates who joined them after the events of the Thriller Bark arc. As a former captain, Brook is quite strong and his skill with a sword is quite impressive.

On Onigashima, Brook took care of quite a few gifters and even a member of the Numbers with relatice ease. With his sword, he can summon the cold of the underworld and freeze all those in his way; however, he's still far from the strongest in the crew.

Brook also got his own fight in the Wano Country arc, however, certainly not one where he had to show his true skill. While Robin fought one of the Tobiroppo, Brook took on her underlings and a Number by himself. With a new technique called Phrase d'armes: Orchestra, he was able to defeat them all in a single blow.

Brook is a powerful member of the crew, however, he did not get much shine in Wano. That said, Brook is always ready for any challenge and his strength is often underrated. His bounty of 383 million berries just goes to show that he is considered to be a skilled member of the crew.

Brook has also been relatively quiet on Egghead. He has not received any major feats at the moment, and, during the attack that S-Shark carried out on the Straw Hat Pirates, he was rather helpless. Nonetheless, in the war against the Marines, he will likely get some moments, however, for now, he isn't all that different from Usopp.

8 Chopper, The Doctor

Chopper is an essential member of the crew and he was the first major recruit in the Straw Hat Pirates after they entered the Grand Line. Although Chopper is a reindeer, his Devil Fruit gives him the power of a human. Using a drug known as Rumble Ball, he can control his transformations.

Chopper's Monster Point is quite powerful and he can maintain its power for a total of 30 minutes after enhancing it with Caesar Clown. On Onigashima, Chopper was able to hold Queen back for quite some time, albeit with a lot of trouble. Nonetheless, this is an impressive feat.

Like Usopp, Chopper didn't receive much of a fight in Wano, however, he did save countless lives by curing the Ice Oni virus. At the same time, he was also able to fight an All Star for about 20 minutes, although it must be noted that the latter wasn't serious in the fight.

Chopper's gag continues after the events of Wano as well. He now has 1000 berry bounty. Chopper is far from weak, however. In Wano, he did considerably well against a commander in Queen. Chopper is far from his best yet and in the future, he will get stronger.

Chopper has also not engaged in any major fights in the Egghead Island arc at the moment. He was part of Robin's team that was responsible for getting to York earlier in the arc.

However, since then, fans have not seen much of them. Now that the Egghead War has begun, fans expect Chopper to do bits, but, so far, he has not done anything to justify a new ranking.

7 Nami, The Navigator

Nami was one of the first characters to join the Straw Hat Pirates, and remains an extremely important character to the story. When it comes to strength, she's the weakest member of the crew, which is why she often relies on clever tricks and strategies in battle.

Although she has the power of Zeus at her disposal, Nami doesn't possess the necessary durability to withstand a fight against strong opponents, which is why she often runs away from fights and chooses not to engage with most enemies.

Nami received a massive power-up in the Wano Country arc when Zeus, one of Big Mom's homies, merged with her Climatact. Thanks to its powers, Nami can now use lightning that is powerful enough to take down some of the most durable people in the story such as Ulti. With that Nami is now among the strongest Straw Hats.

Nami is now a well-decorated commander of the Straw Hat Pirates. After her accomplishments in Wano, she was awarded a bounty of 366 million, which is nothing short of staggering.

Given that this bounty was once what made Luffy famous across the Grand Line, Nami has a significant amount on her head, which surpasses the bounty of even a Supernova in Jewelry Bonney.

Nami has received some attention in Egghead Island, which sets her apart from the rest of the Weakling Trio. She was seen fighting against S-Shark and, even though she was not able to win the battle, she still shocked him using Zeus.

While this attack did not harm him much, it did make him cough up smoke and that signifies that Nami has potent attacks under her belt, even when she's up against a seraphim.

6 Franky, The Shipwright

Franky was initially an antagonist in the story; however, his journey with the Straw Hat Pirates changed that quickly. By the end of the post-Enies Lobby arc, Franky was a member of the crew.

As a shipwright, Franky is quite skilled but he's also a very competent fighter. He was able to enhance his body and become a Cyborg. He has Kizaru's laser installed on his body and using Franky Shogun, he becomes a force to be reckoned with. This Straw Hat Pirate showed his skill when he beat Sasaki of the Tobi Roppo on Onigashima.

What Franky Did In The Wano Country Arc

Franky fought Sasaki, one of the members of the Tobiroppo on Onigashima, and fared quite well against him. Despite Sasaki having a 472 million berries bounty, Franky was able to overcome him with the power of Franky Shogun, along with his all-powerful Radical Beam.

Franky is among the stronger members of the crew and he went on to show that in Wano as well where he fought against Sasaki. Franky currently has a bounty of 394 million berries, which is rather low for someone as skilled as him. However, he's likely going to become even more infamous in the future.

Franky's Feats on Egghead

Franky has been largely impressive in the Egghead Island arc, much to the surprise of the fans. As soon as the Marines’ attack on Egghead began, Franky showcased his incredible power. So far, he has stood in the way of Kizaru, although he has been blown away a couple of times.

Franky has even had a couple of exchanges with Saturn himself. He even launched a powerful Radical Beam at Saturn, piercing him right through the chest. More importantly, Franky has received some very amazing durability and resilience feats in egghead. He has taken a couple of attacks from Kizaru head-on and shaken them off as if they were nothing. Offensively, he is still lacking.

5 Nico Robin, The Archaeologist

Nico Robin joined the Straw Hat Pirates after the fall of Crocodile during the Alabasta arc. Over the years, Robin has proven herself to be one of the most important members of the crew when it comes to finding the One Piece, if not the most important.

As a fighter, Robin utilizes her Hana Hana no Mi power to sprout her limbs or her body from anywhere and defeat her opponents. She took on Black Maria on Onigashima and managed to defeat her, an extremely impressive feat.

Robin received her first major fight in the story since Skypiea during the Wano Country arc as she fought Black Maria, a woman worth 480 million berries. She was able to evolve the powers of her Hana Hana no Mi to new levels and ended up creating two new forms, Grande Fleur and Demonio Fleur. What's more, Robin also showcased the usage of Fishman Karate and the basic principle of Ryusoken.

After the events of Wano, Robin went on to be recognized as one of the strongest members of the Straw Hat Pirates. She was given a bounty of 930 million berries which showcases her threat to the world government very well.

She is now stronger than ever before and even Vegapunk on Egghead Island went on to give props to her, mentioning her alongside Zoro as one of the strongest on the crew.

Sadly, Nico Robin has been largely quiet in the Egghead Island arc. Although she did square off against S-Shark in the beginning, she has been kept on the sidelines through some unknown injury. It is highly likely that Robin ended up fighting against York and the Seraphims that were with her.

This fight was off-screened in the manga, however, it is heavily implied that Robin was able to make a breakthrough in this fight, given that all the Seraphims were locked away in bubbles, while York was apprehended as well. The fact that she was in bandages goes to show that she did engage in high-level combat and most likely succeeded in fulfilling her mission.

4 Jinbe, The Helmsman

Jinbe is the most recent addition to the Straw Hat Pirates, who joined the crew during the Whole Cake Island arc. A former Shichibukai, Jinbe is extremely powerful and has incredible skill when it comes to Fishman Karate.

What's more, Jinbe is also a capable user of both Armament and Observation Haki. On Onigashima, he fought Who's Who and managed to defeat him without much trouble.

Upon joining, Jinbe was aleady among the strongest Straw Hats. Jinbe took on the strongest of the Tobiroppo, Who's Who in the Wano Country arc. In his fight, he was seen using Haki very well but his biggest asset was certainly the Fishman Karate and he displayed a new technique, called Onigawara Seiken, to the fans. Jinbe.

The Knight of the Sea, Jinbe does not need any introduction to the world of One Piece. He's already among the most popular characters and is also very well respected. He is currently a high-ranking commander of the Straw Hat Crew and he was given a bounty of 1.1 billion berries by the World Government, which just goes to show his level of strength.

Jinbe has not done anything on Egghead Island just yet. He has largely been responsible for preparing the ship for an escape from Egghead and, for that reason, he has stayed away from all combat. He has not done anything that justifies a new ranking for him.

3 Sanji, The Chef

Sanji is the Chef of the Straw Hat Pirates and and a member of the famous Monster Trio of the crew. Though his title might not suggest it, he possesses incredible fighting prowess, as evident from the fact that he is taking on a man worth 1.320 billion berries in Wano.

Sanji is a user of both Armament and Observation Haki, and his skill with the Black-Leg Style and Diable Jambe makes him a threat to anyone in the story. What's more, he also had the power of the Raid Suit, making him one of the strongest pirates in the entire world.

For Sanji, the Wano Country arc was huge as he ended up fighting Queen, who had all the powers of the Vinsmoke Family. Sanji awoke his dormant genetic augmentations and created a new power called Ifrit Jambe. Thanks to its powers, he was able to take Queen down at a very low difficulty.

Sanji is yet another high-ranking commander of the Straw Hat Crew. He is one of the wings of the future Pirate King, Luffy. Sanji awakened incredible powers towards the end of Wano where he tapped into his scientific modifications and gained newfound strength.

After Wano, he was recognized by the World Government as one of the main threats to the crew and was given a bounty of 1.032 billion berries.

Sanji's Feats On Egghead

Sanji has been absolutely incredible in the Egghead Island Arc, especially as of late. Apart from some of the most amazing speed feats while trying to save his allies, Sanji has also squared off against Saturn and deflected one of his attacks. He has also fought against Kizaru, an Admiral of the Navy.

Most impressively, Sanji has managed to blast away Kizaru’s very own lasers, which is absolutely shocking, to say the least. Even Admiral Kizaru himself was shocked at learning that there was a person capable of destroying lasers with their kicks. Franky, a scientist, was also shocked at this discovery. It is clear for the fans to see that Sanji is capable of taking on Admiral Kizaru in Egghead as the arc progresses.

2 Roronoa Zoro, The Swordsman

Zoro is Luffy's first mate and he aims to be the strongest swordsman in the One Piece world. He uses the Three-Sword Style in combat to overcome his enemies and slowly, he's getting very close to Mihawk's level.

After the timeskip, Zoro could tap into two Haki types. He also has Conqueror's Haki; however, the power lays dormant within him. Zoro defeated King the Wildfire on Onigashima, showing that he's truly Luffy's strongest crewman at the moment.

Zoro's fight against King proved to be his biggest challenge in the arc. During the fight, Zoro conquered Enma and awoke Conqueror's Haki. He evolved his Three-Sword Style and ended up creating "King of Hell: Three Sword Style" which let him defeat King the Wildfire.

Zoro is the second-strongest member of the crew and that will most likely always be the case in the story. After defeating Kaido's strongest underling, King, Zoro was recognized as the strongest commander of the crew.

He currently has a bounty of 1.111 billion berries on his head, which just goes to show that he is no pushover. On Egghead Island, Vegapunk went on to give Zoro props as a dangerous beast.

Zoro has fought a few battles on Egghead and he has taken on many powerful individuals. For instance, Zoro started Egghead with his battle against Kaku and largely subdued him with minimal effort. He fought against S-Hawk, however, this was a frustrating battle for him as he was not able to make a breakthrough and S-Hawk was able to get the better of him.

Currently, he is engaged in a battle against Lucci. Zoro was seen making full use of his King of Hell form in this amazing battle, which suggests that Lucci actually did push him to his very best. Currently, they are still engaged in fighting. However, Zoro will most likely be the one who wins this battle, as he is Luffy's right-hand man and an individual who absolutely cannot afford to lose in the face of danger on Egghead.

1 Monkey D. Luffy, The Captain

Luffy is the by far the strongest member of the Straw Hat Pirates. As the Fifth Emperor of the Sea, Luffy is incredibly powerful and is able to hold his own against the Yonko of the One Piece world. He uses the power of the Gomu Gomu no Mi in incredible ways and keeps getting stronger.

Luffy is also a user of all three Haki types and what's more, he can tap into the advanced forms of all these Haki types. By coating himself in Conqueror's Haki, Luffy has become a pirate worthy of fighting the likes of Kaido. He's head and shoulders above every other member of the crew, and stands tall as the strongest.

What Luffy Did In The Wano Country Arc

For Luffy, Wano meant taking the next big step and being strong enough to stand among the Yonko. By mastering the power of Conqueror's Haki and combining it with Ryuo, Luffy can finally take on Kaido. This isn't his biggest power-up, however. Since Zoro and Sanji got massive power-ups, it only makes sense for Luffy to do so as well and fans are yet to see what he has in his bag.

Luffy has now ascended to the throne of Yonko after defeating Kaido in Wano. To do that, he had to awaken his Devil Fruit powers and unlock Gear 5th. Luffy was able to beat Kaido, the Strongest Creature in the World, meaning the level of threat he poses to the World Government would be recognized as very high.

He has a 3 billion battery bounty on his head, however, the fact that he beat Kaido itself proves that he deserves a higher bounty. Nonetheless, Luffy is by far the strongest member of the crew and that will remain the case throughout the story.

By far, Luffy remains to be the strongest member of the Straw Hat Pirates and he has proven this once again on Egghead. Luffy has not only taken down Lucci, but he has also fought against the Seraphims. Although he was not able to make a breakthrough against them, Luffy then continued to fight against Kizaru, defeating him after a drawn-out find which required him to enter Gear 5 once again.

After a hard-fought battle, Luffy ended up victorious, however, lost all his energy in the process. As soon as he regained his energy, he once again entered battle against Kizaru, and later down the line, against Saint Saturn as well. He was able to blow away Saturn with his punches, which just goes to show his level of strength and the incredible confidence that he possesses in his abilities. When Luffy took to his giant form, he was able to grab Kizaru in one hand, and Saturn in the other.
