One Piece is about to enter the final saga, which means that every major power in the series is going to get involved at some point. The biggest force in One Piece is unquestionably the World Government, which has been ruling the world for centuries. They have survived some very big threats in the past, but in recent times many people have surfaced, who have openly challenged the World Government.

The worst among them is Monkey D. Dragon, the leader of the Revolutionary Army. He is a very influential figure in the world of One Piece, and he poses a huge threat to the authority of the World Government. Dragon has been labeled by the World Government as the "World's Most Wanted Man," but what makes him such a menace?

The Plan To Liberate The World

Dragon from One Piece

Dragon is the son of Monkey D. Garp, who is considered to be the "Hero of the Marines," but unlike his father, Dragon despises the World Government. Dragon's son, Luffy takes after his father in many ways, and the biggest similarity between them is challenging the power of the World Government. Luffy has been acknowledged as a potential threat by Im, who ordered the Five Elders to take him out. The Five Elders acted on Im's orders and sent CP0 to kill Luffy in Wano, but their plan backfired.

Dragon's plans have been known to the world for a very long time. He wants to bring the World Government down and expose their hypocrisy to the entire world. The World Government has put up a masquerade for centuries, and they have successfully managed to fool people. People who live in poor nations are exposed to their true natures, and they have no hesitation in going against them. Dragon has already managed to successfully free many nations from the clutches of the World Government. With the rapidly rising support for Dragon's cause, it seemed that he would achieve his goal of liberating the world, but in the Wano Country arc, it was insinuated that the Revolutionary Army is in trouble.

News Concerning Sabo

One Piece - Sabo Post-Timeskip Looking At His New Mera Mera Abilities

After Ivankov had revealed the condition of Bartholomew Kuma, Sabo and the other commanders could not control themselves, and they decided to rescue him as well. Initially, they had planned to declare war against the World Nobles, but they had to alter their plans after seeing Kuma's plight. Sabo and his group faced off against Fujitora and Ryokugyu. The two Admirals had joined the Marines after the events of the Summit War and this was their biggest test so far. The outcome of the fight wasn't clearly stated, but it was heavily implied that Sabo was in trouble.

With Ryokugyu arriving in Wano on his own, many readers assumed that Sabo and co. were defeated and captured by the Marines. It would definitely be a huge setback to the plans of Dragon and the Revolutionary Army.

Another Rescue Operation?

Luffy One Piece Film Red

With the war in Wano reaching its end, Luffy and the other pirates are rightly enjoying their victory over two of the Yonko. Sooner or later, they will find out about Sabo's fate and once they do, Luffy will no doubt be happy to see Sabo being successful. The reactions of the Revolutionary Army members during the arc fooled almost everyone and many readers assumed it would be Marineford all over again. Oda definitely one-upped the fans with the revelation of Sabo being successful in his endeavors to save Bartholomew Kuma.

Before the revelation, it seemed obvious that Luffy would have to go and rescue Sabo, and it would have been a great opportunity to bury the memories of what happened at Marineford, where Luffy failed to rescue Ace, and the latter had to hurl himself in front of Akainu's attack to protect Luffy. The incident traumatized Luffy, who had to be brought back to his senses by Jimbei. So, saving Sabo could have been a chance for Luffy to overcome his failure to protect Portgas D. Ace. Currently, there are only a handful of people who can stand up to Luffy's might and his crew is also much stronger than it was in the past, so it would have been much easier for Luffy to rescue his brother and prevent his execution. This could have provided the readers a chance to see Luffy and Dragon fighting together.

With the good news about Sabo coming out, it is plausible to assume that the Revolutionary Army is very confident. Sabo has spread the flames of revolution throughout the world, which gives the Revolutionary Army a significant boost. Also, the World Government is trying hard to eliminate Luffy and Robin, so it won't be long before the Straw Hats decide to take on the sovereigns of the world, and this will lead to the biggest war that the world has ever seen. If the Revolutionary Army fights alongside the Straw Hats then the readers are definitely in for a treat and the downfall of the World Government is guaranteed.
