One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 was announced a while back, and fans of the anime/manga have been hyped ever since. The game is being developed by Omega Force and Koei Tecmo Games while Bandai Namco will be publishing the game on different platforms, including PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 is the fourth installment in a series of successful beat’em up action/adventure games similar to Dynasty Warriors. This is also the first time a One Piece Pirates Warriors game is releasing on all of the popular gaming platforms out there.

New details have emerged regarding the upcoming One Piece game, and it looks like Nintendo Switch owners will have to compromise a bit in the resolution department. According to the company, the Nintendo Switch version of the game will run at 900p resolution in TV mode, and it will go down to 520p when played in handheld or tabletop mode. These cuts have been made to ensure that the game runs as smoothly as possible on the Nintendo Switch, especially when there’s a lot of action on the screen. Fire Emblem Warriors - another Dynasty Warriors-esque game also provided Nintendo Switch owners with an option to lower their resolutions for increased framerate, and it looks like One Piece is opting for similar solutions as well. Both the TV mode and tabletop mode will allow up to two players to play at the same time; however, the handheld mode only supports a single player.

Apart from the details and specifications, Bandai Namco has also revealed several special editions of the game, including a Digital Deluxe Edition and a Collector’s Edition, each with its own rewards. The Digital Deluxe Edition offers access to Vinsmoke Niji, Vinsmoke Ichiji, and Vinsmoke Yonji along with Charlotte Katakuri. The Collector’s Edition, on the other hand, includes all of the rewards mentioned above in addition to an exclusive 30cm LED diorama.

One Piece Pirates Warriors 2 and 3 are considered two of the best games based on the anime; however, it remains to be seen how the fourth game performs when it comes out next year. One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 will release on March 27, 2020, for PC, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One.
