The Worst Generation consists of several promising One Piece pirates, who are looking forward to making a name for themselves. Many members of the Worst Generation were involved in the Wano Country arc, but only a few of them managed to stand out from the rest. The group that faced Kaido and Big Mom on top of Onigashima consisted of Monkey D. Luffy, Trafalgar Law, Eustass Kid, Killer, and Roronoa Zoro. All members had different reasons for taking down the two Yonko, but after fighting for a brief amount of time, it became clear that the Worst Generation would not be able to take them down until they were separated. So, they changed their strategy and decided to separate the two Yonko. The strategy was effective and after some time, the balance was shifted in the favor of the Worst Generation captains, which came as a surprise to many One Piece fans.

Luffy was fighting Kaido on his own, while Law and Kid took on Big Mom. Law and Kid needed to use their devil fruit awakening to take down Big Mom, which ended her reign as one of the Yonko. Luffy's fight went on for longer, and he needed an extra push to overcome his enemy, and this came in the form of an assassination attempt. The attempt on his life caused Luffy to awaken his devil fruit. With his newfound power, Luffy was finally able to defeat Kaido. With two of the Yonko gone, there was great excitement regarding the possible replacements. It was revealed that Luffy would be joined by Buggy as the other new Yonko. With Luffy taking down the Strongest Creature in the World, it seems like he is closest to Laugh Tale, but Law and Kid might have a say in the race.

The Road Poneglyphs

Roger Pirates at Fish-Man Island

The Road Poneglyphs were created centuries ago, and they contain information about the Laugh Tale. There are only four Road Poneglyphs in the entire world. One is in the possession of Big Mom, the second is in Wano, and the third one is inside the Whale Tree in Zou. The location of the fourth and final Road Poneglyph remains unknown. Almost 25 years ago, the fourth Road Poneglyph was on Fish-Man Island, but it was later removed, and currently, the poneglyph is considered lost. In order to reach Laugh Tale, all four Road Poneglyphs are needed.

So far the Straw Hat Pirates have managed to get their hands on three of the Road Poneglyphs, which puts Luffy in the driving seat to reach Laugh Tale as both Kid and Law have only two. Kid stole one from Big Mom's commanders and Law gave him the one from Wano. Law has one from Zou and Wano. If the two wanted, they could try to work together, which would bring their total to three Road Ponegylphs. However, they made it extremely clear that they are no longer allies, and that they would sail separately. Law and Kid have a major problem because they do not have anyone who can decipher the ponegylphs, rendering them useless. So, what gives Luffy's fellow Worst Generation members the edge over him.

The Mystery Man

Kid One Piece 1056

Before they departed from Wano, Killer and Kid were discussing how they needed to work hard if they stood a chance to claim the One Piece, and it was at this time that Kid mentioned the man with the burn scar. Luffy was puzzled after hearing Kid's words, and he even tried asking his rival. However, Kid wasn't ready to spill such crucial information, and he simply declined to tell Luffy and claimed that possessing the information gave them the edge over him. Law was present at the time of this discussion, but he did not say anything.

Although, his reaction suggests that he is also aware of the person that Kid mentioned. One important detail to remember is that when the Worst Generation members were talking, Robin was listening to them. While it might not mean anything, it is possible that the mystery man might be able to read the poneglyphs and provide information pertaining to Laugh Tale. This could be an example of foreshadowing by Oda, but it is a long shot.

Who Will Reach Laugh Tale First?

The race to Laugh Tale is getting exciting, and the three Supernovas will be doing everything in their power to get closer to the legendary treasure. It is certainly true that Kid and Law seem to know about an enigmatic person, who could guide them to either Laugh Tale or the final Road Poneglyph, but at the same time, Kid admitted that finding the man with the burn mark might not be sufficient to accomplish their goals. If the man knows anything about the One Piece, it is very likely that he will be nigh impossible to find.

Any person who could have any kind of sensitive information that could affect the balance of power in the world can't risk his whereabouts being exposed, as the World Government would hound a person to the depths of hell if they possessed any kind of information about the One Piece. So, while Law and Kid do have information about an important man, their plan hinges on finding the said person. Therefore, at the moment, Luffy looks to be the clear favorite to win the race, but if Kid and Law can find the mystery man, then they could pull ahead.
