Charlotte Katakuri is one of the most popular characters in One Piece. He can use all three types of Haki, and he particularly excels at using Armament Haki and Observation Haki. Katakuri put on an outstanding show against Luffy at Whole Cake Island in one of the series' best fights. He had an unbeaten record until this showdown.
It was obvious that Luffy would beat Katakuri and bring his streak to an end. Still, Katakuri's strength is commendable. There are only a handful of characters in the series that can defeat the Sweet Commander in a fight.
10 Marco — Strong Enough To Take Down A Yonko
Marco joined the Whitebeard Pirates at a very young age, and he stayed with the crew until their defeat in the Payback War. He took on Admiral Kizaru at Marineford, and effortlessly kicked away the Admiral.
Marco is capable of taking on both two Yonko commanders at once, which he demonstrated during the raid on Onigashima. Additionally, he was one of the few candidates who the World Government considered capable of defeating Blackbeard. There's no doubt that Marco can take on Katakuri.
9 Admirals — The Strongest Fighters Of The Marines
The Admirals are the Navy's strongest weapon against the criminals of the world. There are three Navy Admirals and because of their immense strength, each one of them is considered a monster.
The current Navy Admirals are Fujitora, Kizaru, and Ryokugyu. All three Admirals possess incredibly powerful devil fruits. They have proved their capabilities time and time again throughout the series, and can take on the most powerful pirates.
8 Monkey D. Luffy — Beat Katakuri At Whole Cake Island
Monkey D. Luffy is the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates and the show's main protagonist. Luffy fought against Katakuri at Whole Cake Island and managed to defeat him. Since then, Luffy has undergone strenuous training to improve his strength even further.
With his Advanced Haki, Luffy managed to wound Kaido, a huge feat. Luffy can also coat his body with Conqueror's Haki, which only adds to his overwhelming power. The current version of Luffy would have no trouble beating Katakuri again.
7 Akainu — Currently The Strongest Marine
Akainu rose to the position of Fleet Admiral after defeating his fellow Admiral, Aokiji, at Punk Hazard. The fight lasted for several days, and with Aokiji's defeat, Akainu was given the title of Fleet Admiral.
He was one of the key figures during the Paramount War, and was responsible for the killing of Portgas D. Ace. Akainu tanked several blows from Whitebeard and even managed to land a couple of hits on the Yonko. Akainu possesses the power of the Magu Magu no Mi, which boasts of one of the highest attacking powers in the series.
6 Silvers Rayleigh — Fought & Injured Kizaru
One of the strongest members of the Roger Pirates, Silvers Rayleigh, is next on the list. Despite his old age, Rayleigh was easily able to fight Kizaru on Sabaody Archipelago. He's not one to be underestimated.
He can use all three types of Haki, which puts him among the ranks of some of the biggest names in the series. Katakuri can put up a decent fight against the Dark King, but there's no way that he can win. Still, his strength in battle is formidable.
5 Dracule Mihawk — Used To Be Rivals With Shanks
Heralded as the Strongest Swordsman in the World, Mihawk is always on the lookout for a strong opponent. Befitting his title, Mihawk wields the strongest blade in the world. Mihawk spared Zoro's life in East Blue, because he thought that the latter is capable of surpassing him.
In the past, Mihawk has fought against Shanks several times. The duels between the two of them are considered legendary, as they shook the entire Grand Line. Mihawk should have no trouble with dealing with the likes of Katakuri.
4 Yonko — Strongest Pirates On The Seas
The Yonko are the four strongest pirates in the world. Currently, the positions are held by Shanks, Kaido, Big Mom, and Blackbeard. Only one Yonko can match the strength of another. Each Yonko has a very high bounty, which shows how big of a threat they are to the World Government.
An aging Whitebeard was able to beat Akainu to a pulp without straining himself. He destroyed Marineford with ease and was responsible for heavy casualties to the Marines. It is obvious that a fully fit Yonko could cause even worse damage. Obviously, a mere Yonko commander like Katakuri cannot stand up to the might of a Yonko.
3 Monkey D. Garp — Fought Against Roger
Garp is labeled the Hero of the Marines for his efforts to bring the era of Rocks Pirates to an end. He is one of the few people who could go toe-to-toe against Gol D. Roger. In his prime, Garp managed to beat Don Chinjao, a pirate with a bounty of 500 million, with a single punch.
He can crush mountains with his bare fists. Despite his age, Garp can easily take down an Admiral. He would have killed Akainu if Sengoku hadn't intervened and stopped him. It's quite apparent that Garp could take Katakuri if he had to.
2 Kozuki Oden — Managed To Scar Kaido
Oden's abilities as a fighter impressed Roger, Whitebeard, and Kaido, who are some of the strongest known characters in the series. All three of them praised Oden's tenacity and strength. In fact, Oden is one of the few people who managed to scar Kaido.
He almost defeated Kaido during their fight in Wano, but he fell to Kurozumi Higurashi's trick. Oden's power exceeds that of a mere Yonko commander.
1 Sabo — Right-Hand Man Of Dragon
The last character on the list is Sabo, the right-hand man of Monkey D. Dragon. Like Dragon, Sabo is feared by the World Government. He possesses the power of the Mera Mera no Mi, a logia-type devil fruit that only adds to his strength.
He is very apt at using Haki, which makes him a dangerous opponent, and utilizes a fighting style known as Ryusoken. Sabo was able to fight Admiral Fujitora without facing any real difficulties — Katakuri would be no problem for him.
