One Piece has been the benchmark for all the new and upcoming shonen series because of its outstanding quality. The work that Eiichiro Oda has done is incredible, and it is due to his efforts that One Piece has reached new heights.

There is no lack of characters in One Piece and as a matter of fact, it has one of the largest and most diverse casts in the anime world. With such a huge cast, Oda successfully managed to represent all types of character traits—cowardly, wicked, brave, etc. In this particular list, only the bravest One Piece characters are featured and ranked.

10 Koby

When he was first introduced in the series, Koby was a coward, who couldn't even stand up for himself. Without Luffy's help, he would have been a cabin boy on Alvida's ship for the rest of his life. However, after joining the Marines, Koby developed as a person.

During the Summit War, Koby stepped up to stop Akainu from killing more people and pleaded to end the war. Koby knew the risks involved in trying to stop Akainu, but he still decided to come forward to save the lives of people involved in the war. This showed how far Koby had come as a character.

9 Pound

Pound is one of Big Mom's many husbands. He is the father of Charlotte Chiffon and Lola. Pound is a very caring person, and he loves his daughters more than anything. Even when he was kicked out several times by Big Mom, Pound continued to try and see his daughters.

Normally, he would not get involved in fights, but when his daughter's life was in danger, Pound showed his bravery. When he saw that Chiffon was being threatened by Oven, Pound immediately intervened and tried to attack his stepson despite knowing that he could possibly get killed.

8 Crocodile

Formerly a Shichibukai, Crocodile is among the most notorious villains in the series. He was the main villain of the Alabasta arc, where he was trying to take over the kingdom and gain information about the Ancient Weapons.

When he arrived at Marineford with the rest of the inmates, he immediately attacked Whitebeard without any hesitation. He then went on to clash against the likes of Mihawk, Doflamingo, and even Akainu, which shows how fearless he is.

7 Jimbei

The most recent addition to the Straw Hat Pirates, Jimbei is easily among the strongest fighters in the crew. He is a former Shichibukai, who lost his title when he refused to fight against the Whitebeard Pirates.

Jimbei is an honorable individual, who never forgets a favor, and he does not dither in the face of danger. Jimbei renounced his loyalty to Big Mom despite being aware that she could easily kill him. Jimbei's fearlessness even surprised Big Mom as her Soru Soru no Mi powers were useless.

6 Blackbeard

Blackbeard is one of the Yonko and among the strongest characters in the entire series. Originally, he was a member of the Whitebeard Pirates, but after killing Thatch and stealing the Yami Yami no Mi, he ran away from the ship.

In a short period, Blackbeard managed to become a Shichibukai and then a Yonko. After killing and stealing Whitebeard's Gura Gura no Mi, Blackbeard was brave enough to confront Sengoku and Garp, who are legendary Marines.

5 Akainu

Akainu is the current Navy Fleet Admiral. He earned the promotion after he defeated former Navy Admiral, Aokiji at Punk Hazard. Akainu is a believer in "Absolute Justice" and he is known for ruthlessness.

At Marineford, Akainu was going after every single pirate. He was the only Marine, who actually confronted Whitebeard head-on and gave him multiple wounds. However, he was not satisfied with Whitebeard and Ace's death, Akainu continued to chase Luffy and the other pirates.

4 Bon Clay

Not many non-Straw Hats are loved as much as Bon Clay. He used to work in Baroque Works under Crocodile, but, Bon Clay deeply admired Luffy and his crew and his appreciation grew to the point where he was ready to risk his life for them.

He managed to prevent Hina from capturing the Straw Hats as they were leaving Alabasta. Then he helped Luffy to escape from Impel Down along with the rest of the inmates.

3 Shanks

Shanks is easily one of the strongest characters in the series. He is the captain of the powerful Red Hair Pirates, who hold a lot of power in the New World.

Shanks is extremely bold as he turned up to Marineford to end the war, and he openly challenged the Navy and the Blackbeard Pirates to fight him. He also stopped Akainu from killing Koby.

2 Kaido

Known as the "Strongest Creature in the World," Kaido is the captain of the Beasts Pirates. He is the main villain of the Wano Country arc, and currently, he is fighting Luffy on the rooftop.

Kaido's biggest strength is his inability to die, and because of this Kaido is not afraid of challenging anyone. He has fought against the Navy, other Yonko and still survived all the fights.

1 Luffy

Monkey D. Luffy is the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates and a member of the Worst Generation. Luffy is known for his bravery as he displayed that he is not afraid to fight against opponents who are deemed considerably stronger than him.

He openly challenged the World Government at Enies Lobby by asking Sogeking to shoot down the flag, and later he punched a Celestial Dragon. Luffy has fought against two Yonko so far and even then he has not shown any signs of stopping.
