Olija is an indie game that is currently flying under the radar of most video game enthusiasts. The pixel art 2D action-platformer tells a story of a shipwrecked man's journey through the land of Terraphage, involving a cursed harpoon, a mysterious royal woman, and secrets. Olija will be released across multiple platforms soon, care of publisher Devolver Digital. To help build up excitement for the game, a new story trailer for Olija has been shared.

The story trailer from Olija looks to feature a mix of animated cinematics from the game's cutscenes mixed with in-engine cinematics and gameplay. To start, we see what must be the opening cinematic for Olija. It introduces protagonist Lord Farraday, his shipwreck, and his arrival to Terraphage. From there, the animated cinematic ends and players get to see what playing Olija looks like.

Olija is being made by indie game developer Thomas Olsson in partnership with Kyoto, Japan-bsed Skeleton Crew Studio. Olsson has been a routine participant in game development jams, even winning Ludum Dare 43 with his absurd 2D platform-adventure game Frank & Stein. Skeleton Crew partnered with Olsson previously with the brawler BackSlash, released in 2017. Olija definitely appears to be the biggest project yet for the team, especially given the project's backing from Devolver Digital.

Interested fans won't have to wait long, should the new trailer have piqued their interest. Olija will officially launch on January 28 and will be available on January 28 across PC and console. Alternatively, a demo is already available on Steam. Pricing isn't wholly confirmed, but the game is currently listed as $14.99 on the Nintendo Switch eshop.

Olija releases on January 28 on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
