With the Super Mario franchise celebrating its 35th-anniversary last year, the iconic plumber has been crossing over into an array of other mediums, with a new clothing line, interactive LEGO sets, and remote-controlled Mario Kart toys. However, the biggest of these multimedia offerings is still yet to come, with a theme park called Super Nintendo World set to open its doors later this year in Japan.

Luckily for fans wanting a better look at the upcoming attraction, Nintendo has debuted a website that offers a closer look at each of its premiere rides and areas. Although a lot of the park is still under wraps, the site offers some of the first official descriptions of Super Nintendo World's attractions, including its Mario Kart themed ride and array of colorful restaurants.

Opening up the site offers a comprehensive look at the park, with Bowser's Castle, Toad's Hut, Yoshi's Zone, and Peach's Castle all on display. Viewers can then scroll down to look at each of the park's various areas, detailing the attractions that reside within each. The first is Bowser's castle, which contains the Mario Kart: Koopa's Challenge ride. The description claims that the attraction will resurrect iconic Mario Kart levels as guests look to race across the finish line with the aid of Mario and Peach. Four visitors can allegedly hop into one cart and, as was shown in Shigeru Miyamoto's recent tour of Super Nintendo Worldit seems AR glasses will be worn throughout the duration.

The next area surrounds the Yoshi's Adventure ride, with the attraction's exterior offering a colorful rendition of a typical Mushroom Kingdom stage complete with thwomps, piranha plants, shy guys, and, of course, Yoshis. The focus of the ride itself is also highlighted, with it seeming like a more laid back attraction perfect for families with younger children. Visitors will apparently sit on the back of Yoshi as he gives them a view of the entire Mushroom Kingdom while searching for Captain Toad.

As for the other attractions on show, the site highlights the power-up band and how it can be used to collect keys through various interactive puzzles around the park, eventually allowing guests to infiltrate Bower Jr's lair. Meanwhile, there appears to be a variety of eateries for visitors, with Toad's House changing into Kinopio's Cafe where it will serve Mario-themed burgers, salads, and tiramisu. Visitors can also grab some popcorn at the Mario-Kart-themed Pit Stop Popcorn or a Koopa calzone at Yoshi's Snack Island. Finally, the park will offer a variety of Nintendo merch in its stores, including plush hats, cushions, shirts, and more. Overall, it's shaping up to be a must-visit for diehard Mario fans.

Super Nintendo World is slated to open on February 4, 2021.
