There are a wealth of amazing titles where players can use the medium of VR to get completely immersed. RPG games are quite effective here, and there's nothing more satisfying than using the motion of one's movements to carry out powerful attacks and defeat a plethora of challenging foes, all the while getting stronger in the process.

RUINSMAGUS is a game that has garnered a lot of positive reception, and understandably so. The game is a blast to play through, with players stepping into the shoes of a novice mage and using their powers to lay waste to any enemy unlucky enough to stand in their way.

Players need to investigate the ruins under the town of Grand Amnis, returning to this haven to stock up on armor, resources, weapons, and anything else that can help them out in their journey. There aren't many great VR JRPGs out there, making RUINSMAGUS an easy recommendation for players seeking out a unique experience.

19 Ancient Dungeon

Ancient Dungeon is one of the most underrated games that fans can check out on the Quest 2, with this roguelite dungeon crawler featuring great combat, fun environments, and endless replayability. The game is pretty simple... but when it comes to VR, it's the simple games with effective mechanics that end up being the most memorable, and Ancient Dungeon is a great example of this.

The title can be pretty challenging, and players should be ready to die a few times before they truly get the hang of things. Thankfully, once players get into the groove of things, they'll be able to make a lot of progress in each successful run while also figuring the the most optimal way possible to deal with the many enemies in this excellent VR RPG.

18 Arcaxer

Most RPG games are known for having turn-based combat, and most people would assume that the medium of VR makes it hard to replicate this combat. However, Arcaxer made it clear that this form of gameplay can very much translate to virtual reality if integrated properly. Taking on the roguelike formula, players in Arcaxer are tasked with climbing the Stack, an endless tower full of monstrosities who have it in for the player.

The player has to climb floor upon floor until he can face off against the game's major boss, the Task Master. This is easier said than done, with players having to spend hours upon hours mastering the combat of the game before getting a chance to tackle the final boss, who will also whoop them quite a bit until they finally manage to surpass the final hurdle of a brilliant RPG game that is perfect for VR headsets, especially the Meta Quest 2.

17 Oathbreakers

Oathbreakers is an Early Access game that has already shown a ton of promise, with this multiplayer RPG allowing players to interact with others in the immersive medium of virtual reality. Suffice it to say, this opens the door to a ton of possibilities as players engage in combat with others in real-time action-heavy battles that can be pretty breakneck and fast-paced indeed.

The sheer amount of experimentation that players can enjoy when it comes to the playstyles they can adopt in this game is quite immense, and it's only a matter of time before the full release of Oathbreakers ends up being highly alluring for most VR gamers. Hopefully, the developers can live up to this initial promise and incorporate player feedback in a meaningful manner.

16 Witchblood

The idea of a Metroidvania VR game sounds too good to be true, but that's precisely what Witchblood aims to accomplish. The immersive gaming, coupled with a wealth of powerups and abilities, makes Witchblood a fun game, even if players can't exactly check it out from a viewpoint most people would expect.

Instead, Witchblood uses a traditional side-scrolling viewpoint, although the allure of playing the game in VR is still pretty strong in its own right. Fans of unique and immersive gaming experiences will love what Witchblood brings to the table, even if the actual Metroidvania action may not be anything special or innovative.

15 Asgard's Wrath

Outright becoming a Norse God who can lay waste to their enemies makes for a cathartic experience that fans will have a great time with. Asgard's Wrath is a great game mainly because of its immersive combat, and fans will have a great time combining the effects of weapons and abilities to see just how creative they can be while taking out enemies.

At first glance, Stones of Harlath is a dungeon crawler where players explore a mysterious island. However, the fun of the game is in its gameplay, where players can "wield swords, shields, and maces and cast powerful magic" on enemies.

5 A Township Tale

The game also offers a complete level-up and a progress system that is a must for a role-playing title.
