For gamers, Octopath Traveler 2 is the equivalent of a nice, hearty meal. It's massive, but easy to pick up and play, retaining almost everything of what made the original version enjoyable. Those who played the first Octopath Traveler to completion will know that there are four more Jobs known as Secret Jobs that can be found in the most remote parts of the world. Similarly, this is the situation with Octopath Traveler 2. Most of these secret jobs are difficult to reach, and are guarded by some of the game's toughest optional bosses. Even if they are easy to reach, it is possible that some of their requirements are difficult.

The secret jobs available in Octopath Traveler 2 are Inventor, Conjurer, Arcanist, and Armsmaster. These secret Jobs have a more complicated system for acquiring new Skills and using available resources. While Arcanist and Conjurer are lacking in Support Skills, Inventor and Armsmaster have plenty of them. Here's how to find each secret job the game has to offer.

4 Inventor

The Inventor is a versatile attack and support class, with the ability to enhance teammates, and utilize attacks that can assume the appearance of any weapon. The disadvantage of employing this class is that when using its abilities, players have to spend another turn constructing the contraption. Therefore, it requires some preparation and forethought.

To unlock this secret job, find the New Delsta Highroad region, which is northeast of New Delsta in the Brightlands. Since Throné begins at this location, player who decide to make Throné their beginning character can unlock this job early. The class is unlocked after a conversation with the NPC in the abandoned building. To learn more skills, players need to retrieve the items the NPC requires to produce his inventions, and deliver them to his makeshift lab.

3 Conjurer

The Conjurer is a kind of sorcerer, but it takes on a distinctive style. This secret job adds elemental qualities to physical attacks, allowing players and their party to exploit the weaknesses of their enemy that they would otherwise not be able to hit. It also contains a wide variety of other powerful healing and buffing skills.

There is no guild for the Conjurer job. To unlock it, players will engage in a string of boss fights in Ku, which take place in the Five-Tiered Tower that is located to the right of the castle's entry. To gain entry to the tower, the player will first need to conclude Hikari's story. Always remember to save the game between battles to avoid losing progress.

The final boss has two distinct forms, each with their own set of vulnerabilities. Once this boss is defeated, players will be able to select the Conjurer job from the available options. Unlocking additional skills in this one costs Job Points, and their costs are far higher than in other jobs. The cost to acquire each skill is 2,000 JP.

2 Arcanist

The Arcanist is like the most powerful version of the sorcerer. They can deal light and dark damage, buff teammates, and distribute buffs across the party so that everyone benefits. If players can only unlock one secret job, make it this one.

The first step is to acquire Terry's ship with Partitio, which can be done via the Scent of Commerce side quest. Players can purchase Terry's ship in Tropu'hopu for 100,000 leaves if they head east to the city's harbor from where they discovered the Hunters' Guild. After getting access to Terry's ship, players will find that the Scourge of the Sea hides in the whirlpool in the water at Tropu'hapu Harbor, which prevents them from crossing to the next oceanic region. To get past the whirlpool, players must first battle the Scourge of the Sea. They must then locate and solve a simple puzzle in order to gain access to the Arcanist.

1 Armsmaster

The Armsmaster is the most powerful class in terms of physical damage, and their skills change based on the nature of the battle they are engaged in. In Octopath Traveler 2, the Armsmaster is the most powerful form of physical presence in the game because it grants access to each and every kind of physical weapon.

Players have to travel to Gravell, which is situated in the northeastern part of the Wildlands region, to unlock the Armsmaster. At the very middle of Gravell, there is a building that has an NPC standing in front of it to act as a roadblock. Get rid of him by using a Path Action. Castti's Soothe, Hikari's Challenge, Ochette's Provoke, or Throné's Ambush will work here.

Once he's knocked out, proceed inside to look for a master blacksmith who is interested in working on 'Divine Weapons.' These Divine Weapons begin their existence as Rusty Weapons, which need to be reclaimed from various locations around the map and brought back to the blacksmith. After players return their first Divine Weapon, the Armsmaster class will become available. From that point on, each subsequent Divine Weapon turned in will grant not only a highly powerful weapon, but also a special Armsmaster ability to use when it is equipped.

Octopath Traveler 2 is currently available on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and PS5.
