Although the game initially launched back in 2017, Observer: System Redux looks to be a very comprehensive next-generation experience, with the remaster bringing gorgeous visuals and new content to the original release's campaign. However, while fans have seen a lot of the game's striking visual enhancements, there still hasn't been much coverage on what new story missions have been added to the experience.

Bloober Team has sought to change that with a new gameplay video released exclusively by IGN, with the studio showcasing exactly what new story missions will be added to the game. According to a follow-up interview with the publication, there will be three new cases in System Redux's revamped take on Observer, with the trio titled Errant Signal, Her Fearful Symmetry, and It Runs in The Family.

The gameplay trailer shows off two of these cases, revealing how both Errant Signal and Her Fearful Symmetry begin. During the footage, Dan Lazarski is first greeted by a strange futuristic love altar displaying hologram hearts. Plugging two leads into a nearby power socket boots up a computer screen sat atop this strange podium, displaying an obsessive message from an unknown sender to their love interest. According to the game's composer Arkadius Reikowski, altars such as the one in the trailer are scattered through the game's central hub, with the mystery behind who made them and what the messages are about seeming to be one of the biggest new slices of content in System Redux's campaign.

The second storyline is only briefly teased, occurring towards the conclusion of the trailer. In this questline, Lazarski gets a distress signal from an unknown source, with the broadcast simply sending the message "help us" and the number for an apartment in the building. It seems uncovering why this signal was sent and helping those involved will be another additional questline exclusive to Observer: System ReduxAccording to IGN, Bloober Team claims that the quests will come with new characters whose stories are intertwined with the residents living in the game's central flat complex and each will add "quite a bit of new content" to the game.

It's definitely shaping up to be an interesting new overhaul for Observer, offering more content than most remasters of its ilk. With the original game's lineup of brilliant side cases standing as some of the best moments the 2017 title had to offer, it seems likely System Redux's new stories will expand the creepy sci-fi horror's universe and atmosphere. Alongside the remaster, the studio is also working on The Mediuma new horror game featuring the composer behind Silent Hill.

Observer: System Redux releases November 10 for PC and Xbox Series X, and November 12 for PlayStation 5.
