Star Wars: The Clone Wars features some of Star Wars' best content, as it gives the prequel trilogy much-needed polish and introduces fan-favorite characters Ashoka Tano and Commander Rex. However, because the series is animated, several Star Wars fans have disregarded watching it, leaving them unfamiliar with its canon content. A live-action adaptation would correct this.

Now, it seems it just might. Disney Plus' upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi show may adapt moments from Star Wars: The Clone Wars into live-action, as reported by A Star Wars Network, a Youtube channel focused on Star Wars news and updates. It was the first channel to announce the unconfirmed but widespread rumor of Ashoka Tano appearing in The Mandalorian's second season.

Fans have also wanted to see Ashoka Tano and Rex make it into live-action content for years now, feeling the duo deserve it because of how well written they are. Rex has technically already appeared in live-action as his popularity got him retconned into the original trilogy as Nik Sant. However, Ashoka has yet to have the honor despite being widely accepted as the best female force-wielder in Star Wars canon.

Hayden Christensen is also reported to return as Anakin Skywalker in Kenobi, and if he does, then the show would certainly be able to adapt Clone Wars content as flashbacks. It could even take the opportunity to adapt Clone Wars material that never made it to air, such as the chilling conversation Anakin and Obi-Wan had about Ashoka's decision regarding the Jedi Order, one that frames Anakin's mindset during Revenge of the Sith.
