NZXT is a name that many gamers know in regards to gaming PC software and hardware, and it is now announcing a motherboard that may be intriguing to that demographic. The NZXT N7 Z490 is designed for those who build their own gaming PCs by improving performance and facilitating the building process.

A press release from NZXT reveals the new PC motherboard is designed to complement Intel's 10th generation chips, specifically for people wishing to combine the two when building gaming PCs. NZXT has a broad range of products that can appeal to different types of gamers and builders, from starter gaming PCs to more complex (and more expensive) models. Although this board is designed for both newer and more experienced PC builders, it's billed as being especially intuitive and easy to understand.

The N7 Z490's features include fine-tuned controls for lighting and cooling, which gives users control over multiple RGB and fan channels. This is achieved via the NZXT CAM and includes support with all lighting manufacturers, so that users can choose the look and heating of their machines. The look is further customized by choosing either white or black, depending on what the gamer's ideal aesthetic for their PC build is.

The press release also includes the tagline "built for builders," which implies that many of the motherboard's features and components are designed for ease of home-building. The motherboard has WiFi 6 connectivity, which would hopefully make online play even easier, and uses all PCI express lanes that the other components make available. The headers and rear I/O shield also make installation simpler for even less experienced builders.

This should help motherboard integration takes up less mental headspace, and choosing the other gaming PC components like liquid cooler will be easier if installing the N7 Z490 doesn't give users a headache. The motherboard is compatible with Intel 10th, 9th, 7th, 5th, and 3rd generation Cores, has wireless and Bluetooth connectivity, and supports higher memory overclocking speeds. Also according to the press release, ASRock collaborated on the boards' manufacturing, to ensure what it calls excellent BIOS support and optimal use of the Intel Z490 chipset.

The MSRP of the motherboard is $229.99, and it's available now through NZXT's online store. Unlike some other products, this isn't a NZXT limited edition item, so people do have time to weigh their options and consider whether the N7 Z490 is something they want to integrate into their PC builds.
