Anyone who is just getting into PC gaming and has entered the graphics card market will find that things are a little bit troublesome at the moment, and have been pretty much since the start of this current generation. There's hope that things will begin to improve over the coming months, in time for the next generation, however. With AMD announcing its RDNA 3, and Nvidia supposedly releasing the 4000 series this September, the next era of GPU technology is approaching. However, in the interim, team green still wants to get one more beastly product out there.

There's been little said about the Nvidia RTX 3090 Ti for some time, at least officially. It was suggested that this latest Ampere product would be hitting the market towards the end of January, but with several weeks going by without so much as a peep, many have been curious as to why the company has delayed what could essentially be this generation's showstopper. However, a report over on Videocardz says that the GPU will be launching on March 29.

According to the source, embargo information has been shared between Nvidia and its board partners, and it looks as though product reviews as well as retail models will be available on the same day. This latest development goes hand-in-hand with recent rumors that the RTX 3090 Ti would be out on March 29, and now it seems as though this has been confirmed.

When it does come out, it will prove to be a beast of a graphics card. Taking the Nvidia RTX 3090, which is one of the most powerful GPUs on the current market, the Ti variation gives it that extra bit of juice, effectively using the full capacity of the GA102 architecture. It will sport 24 GB of GDDR6X, 10,752 CUDA cores, and will have a memory clock speed of 21 Gbps. The only downside, apart from the potential price, is that it will run at 450W, a hundred more than its predecessor.

There's no price set yet, but with the 3090 being around $1,500 MSRP, the Ti version will almost certainly be a few hundred dollars more. Even though graphics card prices are starting to come down, this latest piece of hardware from Nvidia will represent the crème de la crème of the PC graphics industry. Whether anyone will be able to get hold of one during these times of shortages remains to be seen, but it will be a way for team green to see this generation out with a bang.
