Many are probably getting tired of hearing the same thing, but the fact is, the tech deficit is still raging on, thanks to numerous factors, and gamers are struggling to get hold of current gen consoles and PC hardware. With Intel saying the shortages could go on until 2023, even this year is still a bit of mystery in terms of how the market will shape up, That being said, it hasn't stopped the likes of Intel, AMD, or Nvidia from announcing and launching a series of products. But while there are short supplies, "team red" may be able to offer more for one of its upcoming cards.
According to a rumor, when Nvidia launches its RTX 3050 on January 27, there's a possibility that there may be more supplies of the GPU, which may be getting distributed to board partners. Quite how the company will be able to manage this is not specified, but it is worth mentioning that this does not come from official sources, and are only speculations. It is advised that readers take the information with a pinch of salt.
With the RTX 3090 Ti about to drop, offering a much beefier version of the 3090 which is already one of the most powerful GPUs around, the Nvidia RTX 3050 offers a budget option for those who aren't after the high-end products. With 8 GB of GDDR6, a 128-bit bus, and 2,560 CUDA cores, it's certainly not fair to compare it to the 3090 Ti, but with an MSRP of around $250, it will be a tremendously attractive piece of hardware for gamers and PC enthusiasts who are not in the market for something expensive.
As well as the 3090 Ti, and the 3050, Nvidia also quietly launched the RTX 3080 12 GB recently, something which may offer something in between but is leaving a few people baffled. One question that may be on some user's lips is why the company did not announce it at this year's CES, which was only last week. Also, it seems a little weird that the card went live on the website without much fanfare, which might also cause some to be a little wary.
With Intel about to launch its Arc Alchemist graphics card, though the date may have been pushed back, the likes of Nvidia and AMD are seeing a new rival enter the arena. It looks as though there's going to be a lot of choice in the coming months, but unless team green can make good on these rumored supply promises, it's still going to be difficult to get hold of new hardware, no matter how many products get released.
