November 2019 is looking to be a big month for gamers from all walks of life. From Pokemon Sword and Shield's giant new Pokemon to Death Stranding's interesting storyline, fans of games have an awful lot to look forward to. With everything from brand new games to events, major releases, DLCs, and more, here's what players have to look forward to in November.

Game Releases

Pokemon Sword and shield

November will be an awesome month for releases! There's quite a few big-name titles that are hotly anticipated. These are some of the games players seem most excited for this coming month, in order of release date:

  • Just Dance 2020 – PS4, XBO, Switch, Wii – November 5 – Just Dance titles have been a staple in many video game enthusiast's game cabinets for many years. This one looks to be no different, with killer music from Cardi B, Panic! at the Disco, Billy Eilish, and more.
  • Red Dead Redemption 2 – PC – November 5 – Finally, PC players will get to see what all the horse-riding, crime-doing, wild west adventuring is all about! The Red Dead Redemption 2 PC trailer makes even console players want to buy this game all over again.
  • Death Stranding – PS4 – November 8 –This is the highly-anticiapated first release from Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions since the departure from Konami.
  • Pokemon Sword and Shield – Switch – November 15 – Generation VIII of Pokemon is dropping onto the Nintendo Switch with a bang! If Pokemon fans haven't seen all the Gigantamax memes going around, they have been doing themselves a disservice.
  • Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order – PC, PS4, XBox – November 15 –The newest game in the Star Wars franchise looks like an amazing game that may blow some of even the most beloved previous titles out of the water.
  • Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 – Switch – November TBC – This wacky-looking game has all the fun players expect of similar, old Wii titles but on the improved functionality of the Switch. And how can anyone go wrong with Mario and Sonic, the two biggest names in video game history?

In-Game Events and Announcements

  • Magic the Gathering Mystery Booster Announcement - MagicFest Richmond - November 7–10 - In a non-announcement back a few days ago, Wizards of the Coast said there would be an announcement at MagicFest for something called a Mystery Booster. Fans have no idea if this will be a print-only, but all Arena and Online folks are hoping for a neat surprise for online play.
  • Pokemon Go November Community Day - November 16 - Get all those shiny Pokemon on Community Day! Players have significantly better odds for shiny Pokemon to drop in this monthly event.

Stadia

Google Stadia released November 2019

The release date for the much-anticipated Google Stadia game service/console is November 19th, 2019. While some video game enthusiasts are worried about the flaws the Stadia may have at launch, everyone seems interested to see what Google will bring to the console wars in the future. There is a massive list of games being released on the 19th for the Stadia along with the console, including:

DLC Releases

Players will also have some great DLC to look forward to for some big titles, including:

  • Borderlands 3: Maliwan Takedown DLC - TBA - The Maliwan Takedown will add a new map, enemies, a whole new boss, and something called "Powerful Rewards." While the date hasn's been released, it should be available (for free!) sometime in November.
  • Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: Terry Bogard DLC - Switch - November TBA - Looking forward to more DLC for the newest edition in the Smash universe!

Blizzcon 2019
  • BlizzCon 2019 - November 1-2, 2019 Anaheim Convention Center Anaheim, CA - Everyone is interested in how BlizzCon is going to go after all the recent drama and the considerable fallout from last year. Yet, with the hopes of Diablo 4, a new WoW expansion, and Overwatch 2, all eyes are on Blizzard.
