The Monthly Game Guide: November 2012 Edition

It's that time of the year again: yes, it's November. Come the eleventh month, Activision releases the latest in the Call of Duty franchise, smashing sales records and frightening off every other publisher until Q1 of the following year. But this month, there's two juggernauts going up against each other. It's Halo 4 vs Black Ops 2, in what's sure to be the fight of the century - at least until Halo 5 goes up against Black Ops 3.

Gamers can also look forward to the release of PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale on the PS3 and Vita, which accompanies a string of high-profile Vita titles such as Persona 4 Golden. Perhaps the most intriguing November launch will be that of the Wii U, which lands on the 18th in North America. As the first next generation console, it will be interesting to see if gamers will flock to Nintendo's latest offering, or wait for the PS4 and Xbox 720.
