Stranger Things season 5 marks the end of the series, and thanks to Noah Schnapp, audiences now have an estimated time for when they can expect the finale. The actor enjoys interacting with fans across his social media accounts, and in doing so, he recently revealed when filming begins.

According to Neilsen's streaming chart, Stranger Things is 2022's most streamed series in both their ‘overall’ and ‘original’ categories, raking in 52 billion minutes streamed and beating out other popular shows like Bluey and Bridgerton. While history might not repeat itself in 2023, the following year may see the return of Stranger Things thanks to recent information that reveals when the production of the final season supposedly begins. Whether on purpose or not, the potential schedule for production is thankfully stated to not interfere with Schnapp's schoolwork.

Schnapp held an Instagram Live video with his fans, during which one online audience member asked if the filming for Stranger Things season 5 would interfere with the actor’s schooling. Schnapp clarifed that there would be no overlap in his schedule since production and shooting will begin right after school ends in May of this year. Previously, Schnapp said Stranger Things season 5 focuses on Will. The fifth season is expected to release sometime in 2024, giving old and new Netflix subscribers plenty of time to either start or catch up on the series. With the critical and intense ending of Stranger Things season 4, fans are undoubtedly excited about the final chapter of this original sci-fi series.

Schnapp recently came out as gay, aligning with Will's character arc in the series, in which Schnapp had confirmed Will has feelings for Mike. While Will's sexuality had not been canonically confirmed in the series, it seems as if life and art imitate each other, which solidifies the actor's strong performance in Stranger Things up to this point. Both the actor and fans have shown support and love for this character and his journey through each season. Schnapp also states that Stranger Things started with Will and will end with Will, allowing the series to come full circle.

This '80s Sci-fi thriller adventure, inspired by Ghostbusters, with beloved characters that audiences watched grow from confused and scared children to brave teenagers, has enthralled people of all ages. Stranger Things is among the most captivating TV shows, especially on the Netflix subscription service, so it is no surprise that fans are heavily anticipating the proposed epic conclusion to this original show.

Stranger Things seasons 1-4 are now available on Netflix.
