A mysterious house traps its victims in a new upcoming film adaptation by Netflix. The exciting upcoming horror film titled No One Gets Out Alive breeds a chilling tale of a house that is something between the Murder House in American Horror Story and the WWII island mansion in The Others.

No One Gets Out Alive is adapted from famous horror novelist Adam Nevill's book of the same name. Netflix released an official trailer for the film, giving audiences a full glimpse into the terrifying tale. With the film receiving an R rating, fans can expect to brace themselves for jump scares, violence, and grisly imagery. The film is set to premiere on Netflix at the end of September.

The premise of No One Gets Out Alive surrounds a young Mexican woman, Ambar, who moves into an all-women boarding house in Cleveland, Ohio in an attempt to find a better life for herself. Not long after, Ambar and the other women living in the house discover that there is more to their new home than they originally thought. Eerie visions and creepy noises begin haunting the women in and outside of the house, seemingly trying to ensure that they never leave.

The No One Gets Out Alive trailer showcases a number of menacing ghostly figures, a creepy and elusive landlord, and many other anomalies facing young Ambar. Nearly every shot of the trailer is steeped in shadow and evasive darkness. The boarding house itself is immense and threatening, looming and acting as a character itself in the trailer. It feels nearly impossible that anyone would escape the wrath of the house and whatever is inhabiting it.

No One Gets Out Alive will be the feature film directorial debut for the young Santiago Menghini, who is the co-founder of the studio Nemesis Films. The cast in the film includes Marc Menchaca (Ozark), Cristina Rodlo (Miss Bala), and Victoria Alcock (Bad Girls), among others. While the film seems to include many up-and-coming cast and crew members, Andy Serkis, who worked on the Lord of the Rings trilogy and Hobbit films, will serve as producer, adding more character to the crew.

With the novel receiving incredible reviews as a gripping and bone-chilling thriller, the film has great promise as another classic Netflix original. The author of the novel also aided in writing the script for the film, undoubtedly contributing another layer of fear. Autumn is right around the corner and No One Gets Out Alive will be another must-watch scary movie to get in the mood for the spooky season.
