According to the creator of the No More Heroes series, another game starring Travis Touchdown could be possible if enough fans ask for it. The series recently had its third entry release after a lengthy decade gap, bringing back the beam katana wielding otaku assassin in one of his biggest adventures yet. Instead of facing just normal shady assassins, Travis finds himself participating in the Galactic Superhero Rankings. No More Heroes 3 was released on the Nintendo Switch in 2021, with ports to other systems to follow later this month as well.

It has been stated quite a number of times that No More Heroes 3 is the last game in the series, acting as the conclusion of Travis Touchdown's journey throughout the years according to Suda 51 himself. The IP is also co-owned by Marvelous Entertainment and Grasshopper Manufacturer, with the former owning a large part of it as well. Despite this, Suda states that if enough fans demand it, a fourth game could be made.

Speaking with GNN, Suda 51 was asked if there was potential for a No More Heroes 4 game, even if the third game was positioned as the final battle Travis participates in. Suda plainly states that NMH3 is indeed still intended to be the character's final bout, but notes he doesn't know if it will be definitive. He notes that if there's a "big fan outcry" for one, Travis might be back again. He compares this possible return being similar to Tom Cruise's return as Maverick in the Top Gun films.

Suda also mentions that he would love to see a collection of all three No More Heroes games in one package, though notes that is up to the publisher, Marvelous, and not him. This lines up with past statements that Suda has made about the future of the series, either with a spin-off or sequel to the No More Heroes series, requiring a large amount of co-operation between Grasshopper and Marvelous.

Suda has stated in the past what a potential No More Heroes 4 would look like, noting that it could appear ten years later both in-universe and real-time, with Travis taking on a powerful opponent much like Ivan Drago from Rocky 4. Suda concludes the interview teasing future projects that Grasshopper Manufacture is working on, along with asking fans on PlayStation and Xbox to enjoy the upcoming port of No More Heroes 3.

No More Heroes 3 is available now for Nintendo Switch, with PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S ports releasing on October 11.
