No Man's Sky Expeditions came out at the beginning of April, but Hello Games has been working to fix some known issues since then, many of which are releasing with Update 3.38. Most of the issues introduced with Expeditions were related to players crashing in numerous instances which are detailed in Hello Games' patch notes.

No Man's Sky Players have been crashing due to camera behaviors, moving items from one player to another, pulsing towards a marker, network syncing interactions, and even docking. Things beyond players' control such as creature navigation and the Nexus teleporter UI have been causing crashes as well.

Hello Games released No Man's Sky for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S last year, but some PS5 gamers have been encountering a crash specific to PlayStation's next-gen console when using the profanity filter. Xbox players aren't immune from platform-specific crashes either, as Hello Games has fixed a memory-related crash seen on Xbox One S as it solved the PS5 crash as well.

Several text issues in No Man's Sky Update 3.38 fixes a minor text issue in the Overseer mission log, the display of text when interacting with Communications Stations, and text labels on Communications Stations. Update 3.38 also addresses an issue that caused camera shaking to persist after players summon a ship and an issue that prevented Communications Stations from being reported.

A known infinite loading glitch in No Man's Sky is being fixed with Update 3.38 and Hello Games is also reducing the number of Communications Stations downloaded at protected locations.

Gamers who play No Man's Sky together will notice improved visibility of player markers when they're in the same fireteam and on the same planet, helping gamers coordinate better. Some players were noticing an issue where repair missions would automatically complete when the player left the repair site without actually performing the maintenance, but Hello Games has fixed this bug.

Hello Games was able to implement the improvements with Update 3.38 thanks to a subreddit thread about issues in Expeditions, which gathered several thousand comments from the No Man's Sky community. Considering all of the quality of life improvements coming to No Man's Sky with Update 3.38, fans will likely experience fewer crashes since the release of Expeditions and better text visibility.

No Man's Sky is available right now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
