No More Heroes has been a Wii exclusive title in North America for a very long time, but that hasn’t stopped it from making appearances on both the 360 and PS3 in Japan.
Lucky for us No More Heroes‘ Travis Touchdown will soon be landing on the PlayStation 3 in North America! Finally, after all this waiting, HD fans everywhere will be able to experience the fabled No More Heroes franchise with No More Heroes: Heroes Paradise. Sounds too good to be true doesn’t it? Well, it is — for 360 owners anway. The game will only be coming to PlayStation 3 in North America.
No More Heroes: Heroes Paradise may not be coming to the Xbox 360, but at the very least it will give PS3 owners a game that they can use with their brand new PlayStation Move. Of course PS3 owners who are missing the peripheral can also play through the game with a DUALSHOCK 3 controller, so its no problem if you haven’t invested in the Move quite yet.
The fact that the series will finally be coming to another console is great news, but you’re likely wondering what Heroes Paradise is all about. It’s essentially a port of the original Wii title with HD graphics as well as some new and improved features.
One of the new features is a game mode call ‘Robout Mode’ that will allow you to re-challenge previously conquered foes, but wait that’s not all, there will also be new bosses for you to battle that were previously not found on the Wii version. Another game mode is ‘Viewer Mode’ which will let you re-watch cutscenes with all of their gruesome and hilarious content left intact from the game’s story mode, but this time it’s in crystal clear HD.
There’s no word on why Konami has decided to keep the game a PS3 exclusive for the time being (especially when the game has already seen the light of day on Xbox 360 over seas), but it certainly does seem like a perfect fit for the PS3’s Move.
No More Heroes: Heroes Paradise will be releasing exclusively on PlayStation 3 sometime in 2011.
What do you guys think about a No More Heroes: Heroes Paradise in glorious HD? Are you a disappointed that the game won’t be releasing on Microsoft’s Xbox 360?
