Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 will both be receiving 2 highly anticipated titles this week. These titles are clearly Bioshock 2 and Dante’s Inferno, but just because it seems like a great week for the graphically superior consoles doesn’t mean Nintendo is getting left in the dust, no sir!

This week we receive the highly anticipated Super Monkey Ball: Step & Roll!… Yeah, okay, on the retail front Wii gets schooled, but it’s actually a good week for downloads.

This week the Nintendo Wii gets Blaster Master: Overdrive, along with the classic game Princess Tomato in Salad Kingdom. The DSi, on the other hand, gets Fieldrunners, and Link ‘n’ Launch.

Scene It Twilight

Scene It? Twilight

System: DS

Price: $39.99

This title was released on the Wii a couple of months ago. If you have ever played Scene It? – it’s pretty much that, except portable so you can show everyone how uncool you are!

Shiren the Wanderer

Shiren the Wanderer

System: Wii

Price: $39.99

Shiren the Wanderer’s gameplay is similar to that of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. You adventure through randomly generated areas, with randomly generated enemies. There are some characters you can add to your party, you can customize weapons, and pick up some pretty nifty gear.

Super Monkey Ball Step & Roll

Super Monkey Ball: Step & Roll

System: Wii

Price: $49.95

Super Monkey Ball: Step & Roll brings the classic Monkey Ball formula into your living room! Impossible you say?! Balderdash! It’s compatible with the Wii Balance Board, so you and your family can all get fit by rolling a chimpanzee around in a sphere!

Blaster Master: Overdrive

Price: 1,000 Wii Points

Fellow Game Rant writer T.J. Lauerman wrote an article detailing this title and his immense excitement. I feel it’s best to let a fan boy tell you why this game is so awesome –  check his article out.

Price: 500 Wii Points

The classic free-to-play computer game is making its way to the Wii this week. The game features a monkey who whips darts at ballons, which is pretty entertaining just to think about, but it also features over 70 levels so you can pop some “bloons” for hours!

Hubert the Teddy Bear Winter Games

Price: 500 Wii Points

“Hubert The Teddy Bear is a party game in which players confront crafty bunnies.”, I laughed out loud when I first read that in the press release. Don’t be confused though, these aren’t the Olympic Winter games as you probably first thought. This game is about customizing your bear, decorating christmas trees, and catching those damn “crafty bunnies”.

Tomena Sanner

Price: 500 Wii Points

This wacky title puts players in control of businessman Hitoshi Susumu as he runs past all sorts of zany obstacles to avoid being late. This game is all about timing and only uses one button on the Wii Remote. T-rexes, Ninjas, and Cowboys are just a few of the many obstacles that must be conquered in this title.

Virtual Console

Princess Tomato in the Salad Kingdom

System: NES

Price: 500 Wii Points

A mix of Veggie Tales and Super Mario, Princess Tomato has been kidnapped by the evil Minister Pumpkin. You are the valiant Sir Cucumber and you will do anything (including play rock, paper, scissors) in order to save Princess Tomato and the Salad Kingdom. Look for this game to be nominated for PETA’s Game of the Year.

Extreme Hangman

Price: 200 DSi Points

Hangman has never been as intense as it is in this game! The stickman’s enemies are trying to kill the poor guy, but not just by hanging him, they will shoot, erase, and strangle the poor 2D man too. You better not screw up, he probably has stick children, just try to sleep with that on your conscience.

Price: 500 DSi Points

The hit game is finally making its way to the Nintendo DS. For those not in the know, Fieldrunners is a tower defense game that has a decent amount of tower customization and really stands out from the other tower defense games.

Link ‘n’ Launch

Price: 500 DSi Points

Create platforms and link fuel lines to a rocket so you can fuel it up and launch it in to space. There are 2 different modes Mission and Puzzle. One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.

Oscar in Movieland

Price: 800 DSi Points

Based on Oscar in Toyland, it seems our friend has taken to movies this time around. He will go through cartoons, Sci-Fi, and Westerns during his escapades. Of course it’s dangerous, but he has his trusty magic Yo-Yo to keep him safe.

Sudoku 4Pockets

Price: 500 DSi Points

Any sudoku fan will probably want this. It features over 3,600 puzzles so it will keep even the biggest sudoku fan occupied for hours, upon hours.

FINALLY! That is this week’s releases. Not much great coming out on the Wii front for a little while, but Game Rant will be here again next week to brief you on the releases!

Are you picking up any of these?
