Nintendo Switch owners already have several major exclusive games to look forward to. In addition to a Pokemon RPG, a new Super Smash Bros. game has also been announced while arcade-y sports sim Mario Tennis Aces is also due out this summer. But it seems that these aren't the only big titles that Nintendo is working on, according to a new leak that is currently doing the rounds.

The Internet was alight today with rumors that Retro Studios, a division of Nintendo, is working on a racing game called Star Fox: Grand Prix. DasVergeben, a prolific leaker who often shares alleged "insider information" to Reddit, took to the social media platform to reveal that Star Fox: Grand Prix will be a racing game "like Diddy Kong Racing mixed with F-Zero." The notorious Reddit user also said that the Nintendo Switch game "will have an adventure mode of some kind (think Diddy Kong Racing) and there will be some boss fights and a hub world."

In addition to DasVergeben's post, Eurogamer cites sources that have also confirmed that a Star Fox racing spin-off is in development. Two logos for the game (a red and blue variation) were also posted to 4chan, seeming to back up the leaks made elsewhere on the web.

As many will be quick to point out, DasVergeben is not the most reliable leaker on the block. Although the Reddit user has leaked some correct information in the past, including the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles being in Injustice 2, other leaks have been way off. For example, DasVergeben said that Devil May Cry 5 would be officially announced during PlayStation Experience 2017 last December, something which didn't happen.

Moreover, 4chan isn't known for the validity of its leaks, though it is known for the way that rumors posted to the site are able to spread like wildfire. Recently, 4chan leaked a Superman game from Rocksteady Studios, saying that it would be revealed with the next Game Informer cover. That also didn't happen.

If Star Fox: Grand Prix is in development, however, then there's a chance that it will be announced at E3 2018. Nintendo has big plans for the annual industry event, with Super Smash Bros. being playable and with plenty of other announcements also being teased. It's unclear for now whether a Star Fox racing game will be one of those announcements, but fans of the Star Fox franchise will be excited to find out.
