Holiday sales are a time-honored part of the holidays, and the video game industry often celebrates by putting classic titles up with steep discounts. This year, Nintendo is celebrating the new year with a New Year Sale on the Nintendo eShop. Gamers can take advantage of a sale that puts select digital Nintendo Switch titles up to 30% off.

Due to conflicting time zones and scheduling, this year Nintendo of America and Nintendo of Europe have taken different tactics with recent sales promotions. This means that in Europe, the New Year Sale began back on the 31st of December, while in the Americas the event seems to have begun earlier today.
