During its E3 presentation, Nintendo managed to defy expectations and have multiple mic drop moments. One of those moments came during a spotlight on Pokken Tournament DX when one of the developers confirmed that a proper Pokemon RPG is currently in development for the Nintendo Switch.

There are currently no real details about the Pokemon Switch game, aside from it being a proper Pokemon RPG and that Game Freak is currently working on it. That may sound like not much, but it's exactly what Pokemon fans have been hoping for.

It may not be until next year's E3, but we look forward to learning more details about the game's setting and which Pokemon will be included. It will also be interesting to find out how, or if, the game connects to any upcoming 3DS Pokemon games that are in development.
