Notably, a user on Twitter claims to have uncovered Nintendo's plans for upcoming Nintendo Switch Online emulators. First on their list is a comparison between the old application that players would use to find their NES games and an updated version.As well as a UI change, the new NES Online application appears to have had some new games added to the lineup. Notably, some influential video games like Pac-Man, Tetris, Galaga, Mega Man, and Castlevania may be making their way to Nintendo Switch Online subscribers. While Tetris has been on the Switch in the form of Tetris 99, many fans will cherish the opportunity to return to the original game. These classics will help to flesh out the NES Online's extensive library, giving fans some retro NES games for Nintendo Switch Online they'd been demanding for a while.
However, it is important to note that not all of these upcoming games are in the same build state. According to the leak, games like Mega Man have a description available and an SP game, and yet other titles like Galaga only have placeholders for now. Considering the build date for this leak is October 2019, it can be assumed that Nintendo has had plans to update its NES Online application for some time. However, it is unknown when or if these new releases will be coming to Nintendo Switch Online.

According to that leak, fans may see around 40 classic Game Boy titles coming to Nintendo Switch Online alongside the new NES additions.
