The Nintendo Switch OLED is the latest Nitnendo console to hit the market. This new iteration of the Switch console has some improvements over the previous iteration, with the OLED version having some notable key advantages. This includes a larger more efficient OLED screen, as the model name implies, more internal sotrage, and even audio enhancements when played handheld. There's even a built-in ethernet port on the dock, which aims to give a better online experience for Nintendo fans. With the release of some new Switch hardware comes some fans making some creative new custom skin designs for the console.

Custom hardware designs are beloved by many gamers. The ability to give a video game accessory or console a new coat of paint can result in some stunning designs that can be real eye-candy. The Nintendo Switch is no stranger to this, with fans creating their own unique Switch skins, with them able to give the console a fresh design based off of other properties. There's also some based on other consoles, as evidenced by one fan's Switch OLED skin that pays homage to Nintendo's retro console, the Super Famicom.

This SNES inspired Switch OLED skin was created by a pop_skin, a Nintendo fan from Korea. They previously shared a similar design of a skin for the original Switch model inspired by the Super Famicom. Much like that skin design, it is a set of stickers that can be placed onto the Switch OLED that brings to mind the retro console, including the original multicolored face buttons and logo, and the original console's color scheme.

They also shared the design given to the Switch dock, which is heavily based on the original console too. This includes the dock having the Super Famicom's Power, Eject, and Reset Buttons present on the front faceplate. For a fun touch, the spot where the SNES cartridges would fit are modified so that it corresponds to where the Switch would need to be placed in order to play games docked.

Pop Skin even showed off a custom shell for the joy cons, that also carried the Super Famicom branding. When asked about if this fanmade Switch OLED skin is available for purchase, they said yes, but only for customers in Korea and wouldn't be able to sell them overseas. Regardless, it's a wonderful tribute to Nintendo's history and a beautiful skin for the new Nintendo Switch OLED.
