Nintendo has already revealed some of the major Switch games that are coming out in 2019, which includes heavy hitters like Animal CrossingFire Emblem: Three Houses, and Luigi's Mansion 3. However, if a new rumor is to be believed, the Big N actually has 11 additional Switch exclusives in the works that are all aiming for a 2019 release date.

This rumor comes courtesy from Emily Rogers on a Resetera thread. Rogers has a reputation for accurately leaking Nintendo news online, and recently revealed specific details about Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee before they were announced, including the games' Pokemon GO inspirations. She also leaked Nintendo's plans to port Wii U games to the Switch, and revealed Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle before it was officially announced.

So while Nintendo Switch owners should still take this information with a grain of salt, Rogers is more reputable than many other online leakers. She clarified her claims by saying that the minimum number of unannounced, Nintendo-published Switch games for 2019 will be five, but that there could be as high as 11 or even 12 titles that come out for the console this year.

The "Most likely" Nintendo-published game announcements for 2019. (70% chance or higher)

1. Mystery game #1

2. Mystery game #2

3. Mystery game #3

4. Mystery game #4

5. eShop game #1

6. Mystery Wii U port #1 (2013 title)

7. eShop game #2

8. New Labo Kit

The "Maybe" games for 2019. (The wild card titles - 50% chance or less)

9. Retro Studios secret game (this is assuming it wasn't canned)

10. Metroid Prime Trilogy (assuming Zell's info and Imran's info are correct)

11. Mystery Wii U port #2

While the "mystery" games and eShop titles could be just about anything, some 0f Rogers' suggestions are a bit more specific. For example, the "mystery" Wii U port from 2013 is most likely either Pikmin 3Super Mario 3D WorldThe Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, or The Wonderful 101, as those were the top Wii U exclusives from that year that aren't already on the Switch. Metroid Prime Trilogy, meanwhile, is a game that's already been leaked for the Switch, and would make some sense considering Nintendo needs to fill the gap left by Metroid Prime 4, whose development has been restarted at Retro Studios.

Speaking of Retro Studios, Rogers expects that its long-in-development game will finally release this year, though she acknowledges that it was possible it was cancelled when the studio was given Metroid Prime 4. It would be a shame for years of work to go to waste, so hopefully Retro will be able to release whatever it was working on before starting Metroid Prime 4's development in earnest.

Rogers also acknowledged in her post that any one of these games could slip to 2020 for a variety of reasons, so fans will just have to wait and see on that front. However, if her information is correct, then 2019 could very well be the biggest year for the Nintendo Switch to date.
