E3 2019 has arrived as keynotes have ended and the showfloor in Los Angeles, California is open to attendees. Its also arrived on Nintendo Switch, where a new digital games sale has gone line. For the duration of E3 Nintendo will be offering up to 50% off on almost 50 different games, with discounts on 20 Nintendo 3DS games as well. It's a great opportunity for Nintendo Switch owners to pick up a game or two that managed to slip past their attention.

Headlining the sale is one of Nintendo first-party Switch exclusives that's certain to be well-received, with the vast majority of the other games on sale coming from third-party partners. The big exclusive is none other than Super Mario Odyssey, though Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Mario Tennis Aces, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Kirby Star Allies and plenty of other Nintendo exclusives are available as well.

Other games featured in the sale include the recently released Mortal Kombat 11, the remastered version of Final Fantasy 7 (not to be mistaken for Final Fantasy 7 Remake), and Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes, which is the precursor to the newly announced No More Heroes 3.

With the announcement of the Nintendo Switch E3 2019 sale, all major publishers have joined in on the fun. Sony's hosting a PS4 Days of Play Sale, Xbox has its Deals Unlocked E3 Week, EA's hosting an E3 Infinite sale, Ubisoft has major discounts on Uplay, and the list goes on from there. For gamers looking to fill out their backlogs going into the second half of the year, there's no better time than now. Unless, that is, you're a PC gamer waiting for Steam's summer sale at the end of the month.

Nintendo's E3 2019 sale won't last forever. The sale is live now and will last through June 18, when it will close at 8:59 PT. There's still plenty of time left to give further thought to any purchases, but don't wait too long. Just a few more days and then we'll all be waiting for E3 2020.
