It goes without saying that 2020 has been a rather stressful year. From a global pandemic to growing political strife to chaotic pre-orders for next-gen consoles, the world has been more tumultuous than usual for several months. In times like this, it can help to step away from everything and take a moment to unwind, which is something Nintendo is letting them do with the help of Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition.

The company has been doing something a bit unusual lately and dabbling in relaxation-based videos across its social media channels. Over the past year, this has resulted in several official Nintendo-themed ASMR videos designed to help viewers relax via audio stimulation.

Having released ASMR and ASMR-adjacent videos based on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Pokemon, and even Nintendo Labo, the latest one released this week focuses on Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition. The video features some of the game’s most soothing tunes over a montage of its vast natural locales, allowing them to “soak in the atmosphere” of Gaur Plains, Satorl Marsh, the Eryth Sea, and more.

Despite being an enhanced port of a ten-year-old game, the latest version of Xenoblade has been a welcome addition to the Switch’s library during a somewhat sparse year for major new titles. Players would agree, as the Definitive Edition saw impressive sales in its first month, selling over 1.32 million copies worldwide. Much of that is thanks to the game’s unique world, so it’s no surprise that Nintendo would want to highlight it in some form.

Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is available for the Switch.
