The Game Awards has drawn in a number of big names from all around the gaming industry, and one figure in particular has started trending on Twitter ever since the camera panned down and found him in the audience. With an undisclosed announcement coming up later in the show, Former Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime has grabbed attention from some of the viewers watching The Game Awards online.

However, the reason that Reggie has started trending isn't exactly what most viewers would expect. Instead of gamers simply swapping "My Body is Ready" memes as is usual whenever Reggie makes an appearance, it's the prominent streamer sitting behind the former CEO that has been fueling everyone's imaginations.

Fortnite streamer Tyler "Ninja" Blevins was spotted sitting behind Reggie early on in the show, and viewers have taken to Twitter to express their "concerns" about the proximity of these two huge names from such different ends of the gaming industry. Most of the tweets spilling out about the two seem to be telling Reggie to "watch out, he's right behind you," as if Ninja is there to somehow usurp all of the good will that the industry legend has developed over the years. These are all in good fun, but at least viewers were somewhat relieved when Ninja left his seat and went on to present the award for Best Multiplayer Game of 2019.

Not all of the attention on Reggie has been focused on Ninja sitting behind him, though. Some gamers have been waiting patiently for Reggie's upcoming moment on stage, hoping to see an announcement for a highly anticipated reveal coming from Nintendo. Some began to joke, but a number of views took a closer look at the pin on Reggie's lapel and have started assuming that it must have to do with a possible announcement for Mother, aka Earthbound, coming to the Nintendo Switch.

The Mother assumptions were likely nothing more than wishful thinking as the CEO was at The Game Awards to present best Indie game of 2019 award, and Reggie has actually commented on that specific pin before, claiming that it was a gift from an employee. However, for viewers still worried about Ninja appearing behind Reggie, the shots of the audience still does allow for a fairly shocking visual. As many of the viewers have already claimed, it's strange to see these two giants with such varied levels of fanaticism behind them is strange, especially when seeing the young streamer literally sitting in Reggie's shadow.
