Fans Are Celebrating Byleth's Introduction AnniversaryA post from the official Nintendo of America Twitter account officially revealed the stunning Min Min Amiibo with the ARMS character's figure receiving a release date of April 29. A follow-up reply also gave more information related to the upcoming Amiibos of Minecraft's Steve and Alex, unfortunately confirming that the two figures would be delayed from their initial release date of Spring 2022. Nintendo cited a "logistics and production delay" as the reason behind the moved release date. The post did not specify whether the delay would affect future Amiibo releases like Sephiroth and Pyra/Mythra.

Minecraft's Steve and Alex were among the most surprising of a Fighters Pass that saw plenty of shocking additions to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's roster. Nintendo staples like Pyra and Mythra and Min Min were joined by characters from some of Square Enix's biggest franchises in Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts. Sora's addition to Smash's roster in particular was one that fans had been requesting for several years with Sora even topping the Super Smash Bros. Fighter Ballot held during the lifespan of the Wii U and 3DS games.

As Super Smash Bros. Ultimate winds down its content cycle with Sakurai previously confirming that Sora would be the final DLC character featured in Ultimate, many fans have already started to look ahead to the future of the franchise. Sakurai confirmed a new Smash was not currently in development and that Nintendo did not have any plans for a new entry at the time. While a game at the level of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate may be hard for the franchise to top, the game's passionate fanbase will be sure to keep Ultimate alive until a new Smash game arrives.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is available now for Nintendo Switch.
