As the clock winds down to Nintendo's E3 2017 press conference this upcoming Tuesday, it was revealed that the Japan-based company would be keeping its presentation tight and focused. Today, a new discovery on the NeoGAF forums reveals that the presentation has a runtime of just 25 minutes, indicating that a short-and-sweet press conference will be in the cards for Nintendo fans livestreaming the event this year.

Nintendo had previously stated that its E3 2017 conference would focus entirely on games for the Nintendo Switch that will come out in 2017, while any relevant 3DS titles will be discussed during a Treehouse Live segment set to immediately follow the main press conference. Nintendo will also be sponsoring tournaments for both ARMS and Splatoon 2 during the three-day event, and Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime has built anticipation for this year's E3 by promising that it will be a big one for Nintendo fans.

While gamers probably shouldn't expect more live-action Mario action, the conference should spring forth with more information about upcoming games like Super Mario Odyssey, and longstanding rumors about a Super Mario and Raving Rabbids crossover should be put to rest in one way or another. Ultimately, Nintendo hasn't hinted at any large surprises this year, but that doesn't mean the company doesn't have anything else up its sleeves for the masses.

Nintendo also has the benefit of being the last major company to air its E3 conference, and as such has a golden opportunity to end things on a high note. The fact that some alleged screenshots from Super Smash Bros. leaked only a week ago only adds more excitement, but this can backfire if fans feel let down by next week's announcements.

In any event, there's little doubt that next week will the busiest week of the year for Nintendo, and we're excited to see what news that Nintendo's E3 2017 press conference brings forth.

E3 2017 will run from June 13 to June 15, with the aforementioned Nintendo press conference currently scheduled for June 13 at 9:00AM PT.
