There have been rumors lately that Nintendo would be hosting a Nintendo Direct presentation in September. After all, Nintendo has held one almost every September since the first Nintendo Direct, and so it would be strange for it to break its pattern now. Well, the speculation and rumors can both rest, as Nintendo has officially confirmed the September 2019 Nintendo Direct presentation, and it's happening very soon.
As announced by Nintendo on its various social media accounts, the next Nintendo Direct presentation takes place on Wednesday, September 4 at 3pm PT. It will be one of the longer Nintendo Direct presentations, with about 40 minutes of coverage on 2019 Nintendo Switch games. In its announcement, Nintendo specifically names some of the games that players can look forward to learning more about during the September 4 Nintendo Direct.
The September 2019 Nintendo Direct presentation will include some new information on Pokemon Sword and Shield. What that information will be remains to be seen, but it seems likely that fans can look forward to more Pokemon reveals. Maybe we'll even get our first look at the leaked Farfetch'd evolution Sirfetch'd. Alternatively, perhaps new gameplay features or more Galarian forms of existing Pokemon will be revealed instead. Whatever the case may be, Pokemon Sword and Shield is definitely the headliner of tomorrow's Nintendo Direct.
Tune in 9/4 at 3pm PT for a #NintendoDirect featuring roughly 40 minutes of information focused on 2019 #NintendoSwitch games, including #PokemonSwordShield and #LuigisMansion 3.https://t.co/d1Xx3bDbhq pic.twitter.com/S8w1HkTg62— Nintendo of America (@NintendoAmerica) September 3, 2019
Another game that will be shown during the September 2019 Nintendo Direct is Luigi's Mansion 3. The latest entry in the acclaimed Luigi's Mansion franchise, past presentations have shown off the new Goo-igi feature and co-op. It remains to be seen what's left for Nintendo to reveal about Luigi's Mansion 3, but we should find out more tomorrow.
But with 40 minutes to fill, fans can count on Nintendo revealing other things during the September 4 Nintendo Direct presentation. One possibility is that the rumored Overwatch Switch game will be announced, as that has been rumored for some time. Then again, one would imagine Blizzard would want to save such an announcement for its own BlizzCon presentation in November - unless, of course, the rumored Overwatch Switch port is set to launch before then.
Another possibility is that the recently leaked Assassin's Creed 3 and 4 remasters will also be announced. Ultimately, fans will just have to wait for tomorrow's presentation at 3pm PT for more information.
