Nintendo 3DS UK Launch Lineup Revealed

Nintendo 3DS UK Launch Lineup Revealed

In approximately 44 days the Nintendo 3DS will become available across the United Kingdom. The system itself certainly looks spectacular, but for a while now we've been left wondering what games would be playable come launch day. Wonder no more! The official launch lineup for the Nintendo 3DS has finally been revealed and the games that will be making it out in time for launch are actually pretty decent.

Nintendo will be launching the system with four of their own games, albeit three of the four games are just different versions of Nintendogs + Cats. Pilotwings is also a nice surprise, so maybe Nintendo tweaked their launch lineup after people were complaining about Nintendogs being the only first-party launch title. A launch without Mario, Zelda, or Metroid available alongside the 3DS is mildly disappointing, but there's plenty of the third party support that makes up for it.

The following games will all be available in the UK on the 3DS's March 25 release date:

Companies like Capcom, SEGA, and Ubisoft seem to have Nintendo's back by filling in the gaps with Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition, Super Monkey Ball 3D, and Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell 3D. All three of these game series are quite a big deal among the gaming community, and will surely be excellent titles available on launch.

Looking at the UK's launch lineup is a great way to detect what the North American launch lineup will look like also. Hopefully Nintendo sticks to the same formula they'll be implementing in the UK's launch, because there a quite a few games on that list that early adopters would surely purchase. Although, a vast majority of North Americans could probably live without Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 3D.

What do you think about the UK's 3DS launch lineup? Which games will you be purchasing on day one?
