GungHo's Ninjala announces its 2.0 update, bringing worldwide matchmaking among other improvements to the game. Players have been experiencing somewhat long wait times when trying to find games and play Ninjala online with friends, and this update hopes to fix that. In addition to this, User Interface improvements have been made and a variety of other minor bugs were fixed as well.

Until now, players were restricted to others in their region when matchmaking online, resulting in long wait times for Ninjala's online offerings. This was especially true when playing at late hours of the night or early in the morning, but worldwide matchmaking will help with that. Now players should be able to find matches much easier regardless of what time they are playing.

Beyond this, GungHo's patch notes for the update also state that the game balance has been further polished, and goes into detail with what exactly was changed with each weapon. The changes were based on use and win percentage, and unpopular weapons received buffs in order to compensate for their lack of use. GungHo specifically calls out Iron Noise, Drum Beat, Mellow a la Mode, and Trick Ball as having received buffs, while SK8 Hammer and Sushi Axe were "balanced." Hopefully all of this will work to improve Ninjala's multiplayer experience

GungHo claims that the ultimate goal was to create an experience that is accessible to new and inexperienced players but still rewarding for advanced players. It remains to be seen whether these balancing changes will accomplish that.
