With only a few days left until Ninja’s "TIME IN" Night Joggers are released worldwide, the famous streamer took to Twitter to promote the release of the shoes to his fans. Although the streamer was trying to garnish positive attention for his product, one of the promotional tweets shocked fans and was quickly removed by Ninja himself.

On December 27, 2019, Ninja tweeted two photos with the caption, “4 more days @adidasoriginals #Timein”. While the caption alone seemed to be nothing more than a promotion for the launch of his new Adidas shoes, one of the pictures shows Ninja tying something around his neck, while the other shows his legs floating in the air. With Ninja pairing these two photos to a countdown, Some fans have stated the tweet suggests that the famous streamer will commit suicide.

While the tweet may cause fans to worry about Ninja’s well-being, this tweet seems to be nothing more than an error in the marketing of the shoes that was not caught before being published. Once the implication of the tweet was presented to Ninja, he quickly took it off of the social media platform. Since then Ninja has released other tweets promoting the launch of the “TIME IN” Night Joggers, with less provocative photos.

This is not the first time Ninja has been the center of a controversy. Recently, the streamer began criticizing NFL and college football kickers. After Ninja tweeted, “I’ll never understand how college and NFL football teams allow kickers that just… miss… kicks”, the internet soon began to criticize Ninja for his naive view on the position. Soon after the internet turned on him, Ninja deleted the post. Likewise, Ninja was at the center of attention when the internet began to criticize Lady Gaga after her infamous tweet “What’s Fortnight”.

Although Ninja has been connected to controversies over his years as a streamer, he has also been known to give back to the streaming community. After Ninja switched streaming services from Twitch to Mixer, he began hosting several smaller streamers. Since Ninja is one of the biggest streamers of video game content, hosting smaller streamers on his channel has helped them gain recognition by the community.
