While there are many Twitch streamers that play the increasingly popular Fortnite on their streams, none are as popular as Tyler "Ninja" Blevins. And as it turns out, that popularity has translated into quite the income for the Fortnite expert.

According to Ninja himself, he makes more than $500,000 per month from streaming Fortnite and uploading content to his YouTube channel. Ninja attributes his popularity to his ability to deliver high-tier gameplay (describing himself as "one of the very best" at Fortnite) along with the entertaining antics that other streamers are known for. He believes that the combination of game skill and entertainment "is really fun to watch."

As explained by Ninja, the $500,000 largely comes from his 5 million YouTube subscribers in addition to Amazon Prime subscribers who donate to his channel.

Fortnite streamer Ninja Twitch three million followers

All things considered, it's no surprise that Ninja makes $500,000 per month from his content. After all, he is one of the most popular Twitch streamers, and with the help of Drake, Travis Scott, and other celebrities, recently manage to shatter the site's record for concurrent viewers of a solo streamer, with 650,000 viewers tuning in.

Ninja's popularity has skyrocketed in recent weeks, perhaps thanks in part to the increasing popularity of Fortnite as well. Fortnite, specifically its free-to-play Battle Royale mode, has become an incredible success, and stands as one of the most popular games currently available. As a result, it has become the game of choice for many top Twitch streamers.

As Fortnite continues its ascent, fans can expect Ninja to become more popular as well. It will be interesting to see if Ninja will eventually move on to specializing with a different game once Fortnite hits its peak, but in the meantime, fans can expect the top streamer to continue shattering Twitch records.

Fortnite is available now in early access for iOS, PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with an Android version also in development.
