Although it was pretty hard to miss the intense Twitter spat, for those who didn't catch it, this week saw a major fallout between xQc, Dr Lupo, Ninja, and Alinity following accusations that major streamers were accepting sponsorships to hold huge charity broadcasts. Although much of the argument fell between the likes of xQc, Ninja, and Jessica Blevins, the result of the conflict also saw notoriously controversial Twitch streamer Alinity join the fray, throwing shade at Ninja.

In turn, the two had a fairly bitter argument, with Ninja clearly taking offense to Alinity's comments and bringing up several incidents in which she was accused of animal abuse, to which the controversial Twitch mainstay called him "the most toxic person in gaming." Now the dust has settled, it seems both streamers weren't all that happy about how they acted in the tense Twitter argument, with the pair apologizing to each other yesterday on Twitter and taking their comments down.

Responding to a tweet by Rod Breslau apologizing for comments made about Alinity due to its contributing to a culture of toxic online behavior, Ninja stated: "Same, I kept looking back at the tweet and saying I wouldn't have sent that if I wasn't a little tilted." He then continued to speak directly to Alinity, stating "I apologize as well." The gesture was clearly one that meant a lot to Alinity, who responded "I deleted my tweet too. Sorry about calling you toxic." The interaction between the two streamers has been celebrated by many, especially as the culture behind content creator drama can be a toxic precedent to set to the thousands of young viewers who idolize gaming personalities like Ninja.

It's great to see two major names on the platform - regardless of what viewers may think of their controversial pasts - apologizing for an out of hand Twitter dispute through healthy conversation. Hopefully, it's something that becomes a bigger focus online, especially in the wake of many recent discussions about mental health in an online space.

The two streaming icons are undoubtedly big talking points in the gaming world right now as well, with Ninja recently being affected by the shut down of Mixer. The streamer was the service's number one attraction, boasting thousands of viewers each stream and receiving one of the most lucrative exclusivity contracts in streaming history. Alinity, on the other hand, has been the subject of a lot of online controversy, with the streamer battling accusations that she receives preferential treatment from Twitch higher-ups.
