Tyler "Ninja" Blevins has had a historic 2019, and it looks like his 2020 is starting off with more success. Ninja announced in early December that he would be partnering with Adidas to make a new sneaker called the "Time In" Night Joggers. The sneaker was designed in the classic Ninja blue and gold lettering, and upon release, the adult sizes were sold out within the hour.

The sneakers were released online at $150 for adult sizes and $120 for child sizes. Now that the shoe is out of stock, prices are rising across the internet, and it is likely that those reselling the sneaker stand the most to benefit. Many are seeing prices skyrocket to almost $230 within the first 24 hours. Ninja, famously known for playing Fortnite, was beside himself and posted a video thanking his fans. “First Adidas launch for me, and I’m just speechless,” the streamer said. “Thank you guys for everyone who bought a pair, I love you guys. 2020 is going to be an incredible year.”

The streaming mogul made the move over to Mixer last year and reportedly switched platforms in order to expand his brand opportunities, but Ninja already has a headstart. In June of 2019, Ninja released a book on how to game more efficiently which also made waves in the publishing community. The book was just the beginning of Ninja's brand extension.

Recently Ninja played Fortnite with Star Wars star Mark Hamill in order to celebrate the release of The Rise of SkywalkerThe event was prerecorded and mainly featured Ninja teaching Mark Hamill how to play the popular battle royale game. However, the brief video with Luke Skywalker won't be Ninja's last involvement with the film industry.

Blevins will make his movie debut as he joined the cast of the new Ryan Reynolds movie Free Guy coming out July of this year. In the movie, Ryan Reynolds stars as a bank teller who realizes he's an NPC in a video game. It has yet to be revealed how much of a role Ninja will have in the film, but it is likely that Ninja will be playing himself in the video game-themed movie. Although 2019 was a banner year for Blevins, it's clear that 2020 will be just as fruitful for the streaming giant.
