The Nike Blazer is widely considered to be one of Nike's most classic designs, however, that doesn't mean it's not subject to a makeover every now and then. Following the release of Nike's Nintendo 64 Air Max 97's last year, it looks like Nike is getting ready to delve back into the world of gaming with a new pair of Blazer Mid '77 Vintage sneakers with a heavy video game influence in the design.

Besides the N64 Air Max, Nike is no stranger to the world of gaming. In addition to partnering with both Nintendo and PlayStation, the shoe company has also partnered as an official sponsor for esports teams like T1.

According to sneaker lifestyle account Sole Heat On Feet, it looks like Nike will be releasing some new gaming-inspired Blazer Mid'77 Vintage sneakers later this year. The shoes feature a white/white/bright crimson/black colorway, with the classic Nike swoosh being pixelated. The shoes are also glow-in-the-dark with various swooshes and 'Just Do It' phrases covering the body.

The backtab also features a Velcro surface where various patches can be placed, like the smiley face with the gaming headset or the digitized heart with the Nike logo in it that seems to come with the sneakers. According to a follow-up tweet from Sole Heat On Feet, it looks like Nike may be describing the shoes as, "Celebrates gaming culture with updated details to elevate the iconic design. A digitalized Swoosh logo combines with a gradient sole to play up the unique factor, while a removable backtab reveals a patchable surface, so you can attach a smiley face patch to make it your own.”

While an official nickname for the shoes has yet to be revealed, many have started to call it the "Have A Good Game" Blazers, primarily from the phrase being printed along the lower heel. This phrase also seems to be a play on one of the company's many catchphrases, "Have a Nike Day." It's currently being anticipated for a Fall 2020 release, and if it's anything like Ninja's Adidas that went on sale earlier this year, these kicks are sure to sell out quickly.
